As the two are walking next to each other, their hands brush one anothers. Matt blushes and puts his hand in his pocket. Avery frowns and skips over to Nick to show him what she's gonna dye her hair like.
Matt admired Avery as she was walking in front of him. Avery turned around to Chris and Matt, "Bruh you guys are so slow!"
"Maybe you're just too fucking fast!" Chris says, as he and Matt hurry up to match Avery and Nick's pace. Matt looks over at Avery and smiles, admiring her for what seems like the millionth time. He couldn't help but think about what it would be like to kiss her.
Once they get to McDonalds, they all get fries. Matt gets a root beer, Chris gets a Pepsi, Nick and Avery both get a shake.
The four of them spend a good amount of time inside of McDonalds, talking and goofing around. Matt looks over at Avery and she looks back, smiling. For a moment, they're just looking at each other, smiles on their faces before Matt snaps out of it and resumes talking with the group.

Once the four were ready to go, they headed back to their house. Matt starts walking a little slower to get to Avery smoothly. Nick and Chris were fighting about God knows what. "I think your hair would look nice no matter how you dyed it." Matt whispered.
Avery looked up, "Oh, you heard? Thanks." She looked at his lips, God it's so hard to resist. Their hands brushed each others once more, this time Matt didn't put his hands in his pocket. Matt was blushing, his heart was racing and he felt a warm feeling all over.
This is so damn awkward, I'm making it so obvious..he thinks as he can't help but stare at her lips.
Avery glanced down at their hands, still touching. She did only what she thought was normal, she took Matt's hand and looked forward. Matt smiled, not saying anything. They walked in silence, listening to Chris and Nick talking in front of them.
At about 4:30 am they arrived back at the house. "I'm tired y'all I'm going to sleep." Nick says, throwing his shoes and going into his room.
"Me too, g'night." Chris says.
"I guess that leaves you and me," Matt exclaims, looking at Avery, "Are you tired...?"
"No not really," Avery replies, getting water from the fridge.
"You want to watch netflix or something?"
"Sure! In here or in your room?"
"Um, we could go to my room," Matt says. He takes a deep breath, I'm just gonna say it. "Also, I wanted to tell you something, you know, that I was gonna tell you earlier?" He asks, his voice soft.
"Oh yeah! What's up?" Avery says, heading to Matt's room. "Hey do you have any pjs for me? I don't wanna wake up my family getting mine."
Matt nods and opens the bottom dresser drawer, pulling out some of his old pajamas. "They might be a little big for you, sorry about that." He hands the pajama pants and sweatshirt over to Avery.
They were now both in his room, "So about that thing I wanted to tell you.."
"Yeah?"
"I.."
Suddenly the two hear Chris yell from downstairs. Why the fuck am I always getting interrupted!!! Matt thinks asthe two rush to see what it was.
"Shit Chris!!"
"Yeah my bad guys, my Pepsi can exploded on me." The three of them just stand there, looking at Chris drenched in Pepsi. "Are you wearing Matt's pjs?" Chris questions.
"Um yeah, I didn't wanna wake up my parents."
"Ok. Well go to sleep it's fucking 5am."
"Yeah alright. You good Chris?" Matt asks. Chris gives him a thumbs up and goes into the bathroom.
