Chapter 2
"Will Travis Barker come to this event?" I asked Arthur as we reached at the huge hall. We attended a drum masterclass. This event was held in every six month and this year I have a chance to attend one of my favourite event in London. Drum masterclass is an event which will be a place for all the drummers to meet and practicing together. Usually, there will be tons of huge drummer’s names that would come to this event, such as Travis Barker and Rick Allen. They all the one who are mastering on playing drums and I definitely have no excuse to not come of this kind of event.
"I don't know, but my friend told me that Travis had come once"
"I really want to meet him, and Rick Allen and oh my God Jeremy Davis" I mentioned all of my favourite drummers in the world, but I didn’t mention The Rev, the drummer of the Avenged Sevenfold who was dead because of drugs. The Rev was one of the best drummer ever.
“fangirling, huh?” Arthur asked and lead me to meet his friend.
“Oh my god YES!” I answered without a hesitation and try to hold my heart to keep stay in my chest. I am sure that my heart is going to be out of my chest because of all these excitements.
“I’m going to introduce you to some friends of mine, behave!” he warned and I nodded. Whomever he is going to introduced me, as long as they are drummer, I didn’t mind at all. That’s good though, cause I meet lots of people who have the same interest with me and we can share a lot.
“Nessa, this is Josh Devine. And Josh this is Nessa” Arthur introduced me to a guys with brunette and cute smile. He offered his hand to me, I shook his hand and smile.
“Hi. Nice to meet you Josh”
“Nice to meet you too, Nessa” He smile back to me.
“This is my sister, she is also a drummer like we are” Arthur tells to Josh and Josh looked a bit shocked.
"I don't believe that you're a drummer, but really?" he give me a disbelief look.
"why not? Is that something wrong with me, so I cannot be a drummer?"
“No, but you look so girly” he still give me a disbelief look but his smile never from his lips. “I though that you are a model or something so”
“are you trying to give me a compliment or what?” I asked playfully
“No. Seriously. I thought you are a model, I guess everybody would think the same if they meet you for the first time”
“Well, I used to be a model when I was in Indonesia, but now I’m going to focus with my college and drums”
“well, if you said so, I need a prove then. Show me that you can play the drums!” he challenged me and I accept his challenge gladly.
“with all my pleasure, Sir” I give him a smirk and start to play the drum. I actually not a master on this thing, but I thought I don’t need to mastering all of this thing only to prove Josh that I can play the drum. I usually play drum for cover some songs and posted it on YouTube.When I was in Jakarta, sometimes I had to perform in some event, but I do not play drum for money actually, that’s only for my own pleasure. Everytime I go on my YouTube channel and I found that I have at least 3K followers and my drum cover videos has been watched by many people, it just makes me more happy. I love to play drum cause it makes me feel so free and release my stress when I have problem.
