*1 Month Earlier*
I stared out the train window, watching the all too familiar scenery fly past the train. Suddenly, there was a soft knock and a male voice asked, "Is this car taken?"
I smiled and looked up. "No, Harry, it's not. Come on in."
Harry smiled and walked in, sitting opposite from me. We smiled at each other and Harry took off his glasses, wiping the lenses. I sighed and said, "How was your summer?"
He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow. I laughed and said, "Forget I asked."
He laughed too and, after putting his glasses back on, said, "No, actually it wasn't too bad. My Aunt and Uncle weren't too terrible, but I spent most of my time at the Weasley's-"
"Speaking of Weasley," I said. "Where's Ron?"
Harry smiled slightly and looked out the car. "That," he said, "is an excellent question." He shrugged and said, "Probably at the snack cart or trying to talk to a girl."
I laughed and said, "Sounds like Ron. How about Hermione?"
Harry shrugged. "No clue. Probably making sure her stuff is all here and in order," he said.
I nodded and sighed. We sat in silence for awhile until Harry smiled and said, "How was yours?"
I smiled and said, "It was kind of like the past few summers, I went to summer camp."
"Same one you always go to?"
"Yes."
"Well from what you've said, it sounds like a blast," Harry said.
I nodded. "It certainly is fun."
"Do you think I could go to that camp some time?" Harry asked.
"Uh, well-"
"Harry!" Ron said while running in. "You won't believe- Oh, hi Arabella!"
I smiled, thankful for the interruption. "Hey Ron."
"Anyway, Harry, it was amazing, it-"
"What are you talking about Ron?" Harry asked.
Ron sat down next to Harry and said, "One of the kids bought jelly beans from the cart, and he ate a flaming fireball! The kid literally blew flames! Harry, you should've been there!"
The boys started talking and I zoned out. I was really grateful for Ron's interruption. The thing was, I didn't want to explain to Harry why he couldn't go to my summer camp. In fact, I couldn't. It was a sacred rule, and even if we did have a choice, I didn't like explaining the situation, it was all too complicated.
My thoughts were interrupted when Hermione walked in slightly flustered. "It's so absurd!" she fumed, plopping down next to me.
"What's so absurd?" Harry and Ron said in unison.
"Two things," she said. "One, we're stuck here for an extra hour because the train broke-"
We stopped? That was news to me.
"A magical train breaking?" Ron said. "Now that is absurd."
Hermione rolled her eyes and said, "Two, they kicked me out of the Storage Room!"
Ron and Harry had this look of 'Really?' while the corners of my mouth formed into a smile. Hermione then started to rant on about how absurd this was and about how she was going to confront Dumbledore and demand that this be fixed while I zoned out again.
About an hour later, the train started moving again. The four of us had started talking again. We talked about our summer adventures, and when I explained it, I just simply said that I was at summer camp. I told them of my friends, the nice counselors, the crabby camp director, and the amazing activities. They were particularily interested in archery and Capture the Flag. Hermione had heard of Capture the Flag ('a simple, strategic game that involves taking the other sides' flag'), and was trying to explain it to the boys. Harry got the concept quickly, but Ron was kind of stuck on the idea.
