We landed with a soft thud and a soft groan came from Ron. I sat up and looked at my friends. "You guys okay?"
They nodded and slowly got up, looking around. "Where are we?" Harry asked.
I had gotten up and dusted myself off. I looked around and said, "About a mile away from my camp."
The three gave me strange looks and Hermione asked, "Why'd you take us here?"
"It was the first place I thought of," I say honestly. I was about to say something else when there was a loud screech and we all turned around, seeing a large tan winged creature, glaring at us from the nearby tree. I sighed. Those damn Furys just couldn't give us a break, could they?
"Hand over The Key!" it screeched.
"You can't have Arabella," Harry said sternly, standing in between me and the Fury, Ron and Hermione flanking his side.
It screeched and lunged off the tree, gliding towards us. I push my friends aside and point my wand at the Fury, yelling, "Confringo!"
The Fury immediately burst into flames and screeched another demonic scream. After awhile, the burned body crumpled to the ground and then burst into a golden mist.
The trio looked at me and Ron said, "Bloody hell Arabella-"
"Oh come on Ron," I say, "you've seen us defeat magical creatures several times. It's not that impressive."
"Except that was NOT a magical creature," Hermione said. "Not from our world at least."
"Yeah," Harry said, "none of the creatures we are familiar with dissolve into a golden mist."
"And what did...that thing by 'The Key'?" Ron asked.
"And what was that thing?!" Hermione asked.
I sighed and said, "That was a Fury and I don't know what it called be 'The Key'." Well, I actually did, but I couldn't tell them that (though I had a slight feeling that some of my secrets were going to have to be shared soon).
"A Fury?!" Hermione asked in bewilderment. "As in-"
"The creature from Greek Mythology?" I ask. "Yes."
"But aren't they supposed to be, you know, MYTHS?!" Ron yelled.
"They exist Ron," I say flatly, crossing my arms. "Get over it."
"Well how do they exist?" Harry asks.
"How was magic created?" I ask, a tone of bitterness creeping into my voice. "I don't know, they just exist!"
"Well," Hermione said, "magic was created-"
"Shut up Hermione!" I say, my bright blue eyes crackling with electricity. Hermione shrank back a little, looking hurt. I sighed and said, "I'm sorry Hermione," I said, "I'm just a little tense."
She nodded, but didn't say anything.
"So how are we getting back to Hogwarts?" Ron asked. "We can't enter back in through Aparting, I'm surprised we actually got out, but still-"
"We're probably going to have to fly," I say.
They all give me strange looks and Harry says, "How do we do that? We don't have any brooms and we don't have any money to buy plane tickets."
"Actually," I say, "I can help with that. C'mon." I turn and start walking up the hill, my friends not far behind me.
We soon get to a tall tree and I take out my wand, tapping the bark. A blue square appears on the bark and then disappears, a small knob rising up from the wood. I grab the knob and pull, opening up a small door, revealing a hollowed out part of the tree. Inside, there was one of my sets of armor, a few swords (including my favorite long sword), several other battle weapons, large bags filled with Drachmas, large stacks of regualr cash, and a quest-ready backpack."
