Izzy is 16 years old, has learned how to fight thanks to her parents who adored her, she loves books and is extremly smart for her age. She hates her brother because her parents have told her that he is a horrible criminal that should not be trusted. She is sassy and snaps back at people if they make her mad. She can also be quiet and reserved and feels self conscious because of insecurities she has. She is popular at her school because of how sweet and talented she is. Izzy participates in the schools drama club, dance team, and is an excellent singer but doesn't like singing in front of people other than Ashlyn.

Ashlyn is 16 and Izzy's best friend and has know her since they were in 2nd grade. She is one of the most popular girls in school and is also really smart. Most people call her Ash since it is what she prefers. She is super sassy and not afraid to speak her mind, she is on the dance team with Izzy and they do tons of duets together. Loves her brother even though she will bother him and tease him from time to time.
Jackson Smith:

Jackson is Ashlyn's older brother and is 17 years old. He has had a huge crush on Izzy for a long time but they are good friends so he doesn't want to make things awkward between them. He is the most popular guy at their school, a track runner, and a baseball player. He is a very kind and genuine guy and does not want to hurt any ones feelings (excluding his sister sometimes).

Dallas is 18 (ik ik that in the book he was 17 but I needed him to be 18.) Goes by Dally by most of the people in this book except his sister. He is the definition of a player and a bad boy. He doesn't remember he has a sister because of how young he was and the fact she was kept a secret from him. He does have a soft side but it's not shown to most people or to anyone really.
