Isla relaxed, exhaling a breath as she pulled the sheets over her perspiring body. Closing her eyes, a small smile played on her lips as she felt his hand gently caress her stomach, traveling up to her breasts and finally resting on her face.

"Are you tired?" Rio whispered in her ear. Isla opened her eyes, meeting his gaze, and bit her lip before shaking her head.

"No," Isla replied, pressing her lips against his and pushing herself up to straddle him. "Are you?"

She kissed his jawline, trailing down to his neck before returning to his lips. He hummed a negative response, his hands sliding up her thighs to her waist, lifting her to align with him.

Isla gasped as he guided her hips down onto him. Leaning forward, she rested her head on his shoulder as he moved her up and down. Isla's hand gripped his side tightly, feeling a rush of pleasure coursing through her.

"R-Rio," she huffed, her lower stomach tightening as she clenched around him. He increased the pace slightly, her mouth opening with a silent moan. Waves of pleasure crashed over her, causing her legs to tremble.

"Good girl," he praised, his voice filled with satisfaction. As Rio pulled her back, gently moving the hair away from her face, Isla gave him a smile before pulling away and making her way across the bed to stand.

"Where are you going?" Rio asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, his gaze fixed on her as she pulled her shirt over her head.

"I have to go to work," Isla replied, slipping her pants on. Rio huffed and got up, walking over to her and grabbing her hips, pulling her back into him.

"You know you don't have to work...you can stay... I could take care of you," Rio whispered in her ear, lightly biting her neck. Isla bit her lip, turning to face him.

"I can't, you know I can't," Isla said, kissing him. "I have to go."

"Just one more time," he whispered, a pleading tone in his voice. She shook her head.

"I can't. I have to go," Isla said, kissing him once more before walking towards the door and stepping out.

Isla made her way out of Rio's apartment and down to her car. Over the past couple of weeks, they had been together non-stop, and Isla found herself enjoying their time together more and more, growing increasingly comfortable with him.

Arriving at the hospital parking lot, Isla parked her car and entered the locker room. She placed her bags and belongings inside her locker before changing into her scrubs. She gathered her hair into a messy bun and walked out, heading towards the nurses' station.

"Lizzy," Lexi greeted with a big smile as Isla approached her. "You're in a good mood today. Oh, did you stay the night at his house? You still haven't mentioned his name."

"As a matter of fact, Lexi, yes, I did," Isla replied, returning Lexi's smile. Lexi looked up at her, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Is that why you're walking like you're sore?" Lexi asked, causing Isla to gasp in shock. She shot a quick glance around, hoping nobody overheard. Although it was true that Isla was feeling a bit sore, Rio certainly didn't lack in that department. He was the most well-endowed partner she'd ever had.

"Lexi, no, I'm not!" Isla exclaimed, her cheeks turning slightly pink.

"Come on, I just want to know who it is. Please, Lzzy, tell me," Lexi pleaded, looking up at Isla with wide eyes. "Are you guys, like, together together, or is it just a fling? Is that why you don't want to tell me?"

"We're not exactly at the point of labeling things," Isla replied, picking up some charts and organizing them. "But if it gets any more serious, you'll be the first to know, I promise."

Lexi scrutinized her friend, looking her up and down. "Are you in love?" she asked curiously. "You haven't acted like this since you and Mason first got together."

"Lexi!" Isla exclaimed, her eyes widening. The thought of loving Rio made her nervous. He was a man unlike anyone she had ever been with before. But deep down, she couldn't deny the fact that she felt some sort of love for him. Maybe not "in love" just yet, but there was definitely love there.

"Alright, alright!" Lexi said with a huff

Isla shook her head, leaving Lexi behind, and went to check on all of her patients. As she walked out of her last patient's room, she heard her pager go off. Glancing down at it, she read the word "Lobby" displayed on the screen. Furrowing her brows in curiosity, she made her way down the hallway towards the lobby.

"Axel," Isla said, spotting her brother and sitting down next to him. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just... I figured I'd tell you in person," he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of nervousness. "Um, well, me and Abby are going to get married."

Abby had been Axel's longtime girlfriend, although Isla didn't see her often and didn't particularly like her. Still, she couldn't help but feel happy for her brother, albeit with mixed emotions.

"Well, that's... that's great news, Axel," Isla said, offering him a smile. The last Isla had heard about Axel and Abby was a couple of months ago when they were supposedly broken up for good.

"I know you're not the biggest fan of her," Axel said, acknowledging Isla's feelings towards Abby. "But hey, I'm not the biggest fan of the guys you choose to be with either," he added jokingly, causing Isla to playfully roll her eyes, knowing he was referring to Rio.

"Are you happy with her, Axel? Really happy?" Isla asked, genuinely wanting to know. Axel stayed quiet for a second before slowly nodding his head. "Okay, well then I'm happy for you."

"What about you, lzzy? Do you have marriage on your mind?" Axel asked, his voice tinged with hesitation. Isla let out a half-breath, leaning back in her seat and crossing her arms.

"Me and Mason's divorce was only finalized two weeks ago," Isla said, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "And I've only known Rio for about five months. I don't think marriage is on the table for a while, if at all," she admitted truthfully. It had indeed been almost exactly five months since Rio crashed into her car, but the thought of marrying him stirred up something warm in her chest. She shook her head, brushing off the feeling, and looked at Axel.

"I'm just happy for you right now, happy that you're happy," Isla said, reaching out to squeeze Axel's hand.

"I'm happy, Lzzy," Axel said, his voice filled with determination. "But I'll be even happier when this whole money thing with Rio is over. Then I can actually start to plan the wedding," he added, a hint of frustration evident in his tone. Isla stood up, nodding in understanding, and gave him a tight hug.

"Alright, I'll let you get back to work," Axel said, returning the hug before eventually letting go. He walked out of the hospital, leaving Isla deep in thought. She sank back down into the seat behind her, running her fingers over her lips. The idea of marrying Rio had crossed her mind, but she couldn't help but question its feasibility. Would marrying Rio be a genuine possibility? Was she truly considering marriage with him? And would he ever want to marry her? A whirlwind of questions flooded her mind as she sat there, lost in contemplation. Her train of thought was abruptly interrupted when her pager went off again. She let out a huff, standing up and walking away from the lobby, ready to attend to her next task.
