"What were you thinking, Isla?!" emma's voice boomed with anger, causing Isla's tears to flow even more. Isla sat there, her eyes filled with sorrow, as she looked at her older sister. "We owe him money! We're working for him! He's a gangster, for crying out loud! How did this even happen?!"
"It happened so fast, emma!" Isla's voice cracked as she yelled back. "I don't know, so stop fucking lecturing me like a child!" She cried, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of the situation.
"Then stop acting like one, Isla!" emma's frustration grew, her words laced with a mix of concern and anger. "Do you even realize what could have happened if I hadn't walked in when I did!?"
Isla knew deep down that her sister had saved her from a world full of pain and danger by intervening, but accepting the reality of it wasn't easy. The scene before her was a harsh reminder of the consequences she might have faced.
"Hold on, what are you two yelling about?" axle's voice cut through the tension as she entered the room.
"You called him?!" Isla's voice trembled with shock and disbelief.
"Of course, I called him!" Beth's reply was swift, filled with determination and a sense of responsibility.
"What is happening?" axle looked back and forth between the two, his eyes filled with concern.
Emma turned to Isla, her gaze urging her to explain the situation. Isla's eyes shifted nervously between them before finally settling downcast.
"Well, a few hours ago..." Isla began, her voice trembling slightly.
Earlier that day...
Isla stood at her kitchen counter, her heart pounding against her rib cage as she looked at Rio, who sat silently in a chair at the table. She wasn't sure why he was there or what he wanted from her.
"Rio?" Isla's voice quivered as her gaze met his dark eyes.
"Why's your husband showin' up here, huh?" Rio's question hung in the air, causing Isla to swallow hard. She looked down, her fingers fidgeting nervously. she certainly wasn't going to tell Rio about that. Mason had already been throw enough
"That is none of your business," Isla managed to say in a small voice, her fear growing with each passing second. Before she knew it, Rio had risen from the chair and started walking towards her. Panic swept through her, and she quickly turned to walk to the other side of the counter, attempting to create some distance. However, her escape was cut short as Rio grabbed the back of her neck, forcing her to bend over the counter while he pressed himself against her.
"Why the fuck was he here, Isla?" Rio's voice slithered into her ear like a venomous serpent, making her whole body tremble. "And you better cough up an answer pronto, babe, 'cause time ain't on our side." Every part of his body pressed against hers, his breath hot against her skin, his muscled stomach pressing into her. Isla's breathing became rapid as she closed her eyes, trying to compose herself.
"To open a fucking pickle jar," she retorted, her words dripping with defiance as she ground her teeth together. Rio's hand came down with a forceful smack on the counter right next to her face, causing her to jump in fear. He pushed his hips forward, increasing the pressure, and Isla's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure.
Isla's desperation grew as she continued to struggle against his hold, her body moving in an attempt to break free. In her struggle, she accidentally brushed her backside against Rio's clothed crotch, causing a gasped-like moan to escape her lips. Her eyes closed once again, overwhelmed by a mixture of fear, confusion, and an unexpected arousal.
"Isla," Rio's voice was heavy with desire as he spoke in her ear, pushing himself further against her. Her breath became even more rapid as she tried to take deep breaths, attempting to calm herself amidst the escalating tension.
"I can't... you," Isla stumbled over her words, frustration evident in her voice. She struggled to find the right words, her eyes closed tightly as she berated herself for feeling so flustered by his presence, for being drawn to him in this way.
""Listen, Isla, if you want me to back off, just say the word," Rio's voice carried a touch of self-control, a pledge to honor her limits. "But if you keep quiet, babe, I won't hold back." His movements pressed against her, heightening the sensations rippling through her. Isla struggled to find her voice, caught between a tangle of conflicting wants. She knew,
Deep down, she knew she didn't want him to stop, though admitting it to herself felt both exhilarating and terrifying. As she closed her eyes, a soft moan escaped her lips. She could feel his hands tracing a path from her thigh, inching upwards in between them. Gripping the edge of the counter tightly, she surrendered to the sensations that coursed through her.
"R-Rio," she whispered, her breath coming out in huffs. He planted kisses along her jawline, trailing down to her neck and shoulder, before returning to her jawline once again.
"Tell me what you want," he whispered, his fingers continuing their tantalizing movements, sending waves of pleasure through her body. Although she hesitated to voice her desires aloud, the intensity of her longing for him was undeniable.
Isla's breath hitched as she felt her lower stomach clench. It was a little embarrassing to finish so quickly, but it had been a long time since she had experienced such intense pleasure, especially since Mason had left.
Her mouth opened in a gasp as she clenched harder onto the counter in front of her. Her knees buckled, and a powerful wave of pleasure washed over her, causing her to lose control momentarily.
"There it is, good girl," Rio whispered in her ear, his voice filled with satisfaction. His hands moved swiftly, pulling her oversized t-shirt up and over her hips, and then removing her underwear until it dropped to the floor.
However, the sudden intrusion of a voice shattered the moment of ecstasy. Isla's head snapped forward, her eyes immediately meeting another person's gaze. It was emma, who had walked into the room unexpectedly. Isla's shock was palpable as she quickly pushed herself backward, disentangling herself from Rio's grip and putting some distance between them. She looked at emma, her expression a mix of surprise and guilt, but the look on her sister's face revealed more than just shock.

."So you hooked up with the gangster?" axle asked, his tone filled with curiosity and a hint of judgment. Isla frowned, furrowing her eyebrows in frustration. She let out a exasperated huff and slapped her hands over her face, squeezing it tightly.
"I didn't hook up... hmm... uggg!" Isla mumbled into her hands, her voice muffled. "There's a big difference between using hands and... other parts. He just used his hands!" she said, her words filled with a mix of defensiveness and embarrassment.
Axle raised an eyebrow, his expression indicating that he wasn't entirely convinced. "Still, I mean, was it worth it?" emma asked, her voice laced with curiosity and a touch of concern. Isla gasped in shock, her eyes snapping to emma's. She could sense the judgment in the air.
"I'm not discussing this anymore. I'm leaving," Isla declared, her frustration evident as she stood up from the couch and made her way towards the front door. She needed some space and time to gather her thoughts.
"Isla, it's not a good idea to get mixed up with him!" axle yelled after her, his voice filled with worry. But Isla ignored her there words
