THE DARK FORCE

Prologue

"C'mon!! You're such a grandma!!"
"I am not!!!"

Two voices filled the yard. Fluffy clouds decorated the sky. It was a cloudy day with everyone feeling joyful. A set of twins was playing around the grassy yard, laughing as one chased the other around. The two were named Tamiko and Tatashi. Both with white hair with streaks of black. They were unique for their hair and talents. One was curious and brave. Always wanting to take a risk and never feared anything. She had a bad temper and would lash out at others for pushing her buttons. While the other was clever, curious, and caring. He is a problem-solving type of smart, able to solve any problem that he could solve. He had to always calm his twin whenever she lashed out at others. He and another were the only ones who could calm her dragon-like anger.

The two were like yin and yang, total opposites but works so well together.

Tatashi slows down from shortness of breath, giving Tamiko an upper hand and pouncing on him which causes him to fall down on the grassy ground with her. The two stayed silent, processing what just happened before laughing loudly. "Tamiko, Tatashi!! C'mon, Dinner's ready!!" A voice called out. The pair picked themselves up and started to walk back into the orphanage. The two decided to chat to pass time.

"Hey, remember that one time you fell on a huge mud puddle and mum just stood there and laughed? I'll admit, it was funny." Tatashi immediately slapped her on her back. "It was an embarrassing moment for me!!" Tatashi whined. The white-black haired girl chuckled and started to pet her brother's head. She said, "I got it! Sorry." With a smile on her face. Tatashi pouted with his arm crossed throughout the trip back into the orphanage.

By the time they're back, the food was being served hot and fresh. You could smell how good the food was. Thanks to the generous amount of funding, the orphanage could serve hot food for the kids. Today it was mushroom soup with rice! For dessert, chocolate mousse cake, delicious!! The two grabbed their portion and sat down with their friends. While Tatashi and his friends were talking about some anime series called "The Shield Hero," Tamiko and her friends were talking about something that one of them found.

"Hecate?" Tamiko questioned, her head tilted in confusion. "Yeah! Hecate is the Goddess with the 3 faces. The 3 faces, named The Mother, The Maiden, and The Crone." The friend told them with great passion, the other friends and Tamiko listened with great interest. "She's a Greek Goddess who was brilliant in necromancy, and potions!" She added. The two other friends asked a bunch of questions about the Goddess to the storyteller while Tamiko stayed silent.

'A Goddess, huh?' She wondered. She wondered even further. "What if she was real?" She thought, hoping for that to be true but after all.. It was just a myth.

"Hello?~ Earth to Tammy!!" A friend waved her hand over the white haired girl which snapped her out of her thoughts. "Huh? What?" She looked at her friends with confusion. "You looked like you went to another dimension." One commented. "Oh- Right, sorry." The girl chuckled awkwardly, her friends chuckling from her response. The group continued to eat and chat along until the bell rang and it's time for education.

"Where are you going? Second period is coming." One of them called out. "I need to grab something from my room!" Tamiko yelled out before leaving her friends. She walked into the room that she and her twin shared. She grabbed her sketchbook, her headphones, and her black skeleton hoodie. It was a black jacket with a zipper, a skeleton's torso was placed at the front and a white outlined butterfly at the back. She continued to look around, making sure she got what she needed before going to the second period. She nodded to confirm that she had taken what she needed and headed out of her room at lightning speed.
