Chapter 2- Changes

    I must have been more exhausted then I thought because I had fallen asleep after I ate my sandwich and didnt wake up until my alarm went off in the morning. I rolled myself out of the cocoon of blankets and pillows I had made in my sleep and begin getting ready for school. I picked out a simple pair of black high waisted shorts and a white and black t-shirt that had an aztec sort of design on it. I looked down at my phone to check the time and noticed that it 6:30am meaning that Arie would be here in about 15 minutes to take me to school. I walked over to my mirror and did my usual makeup, black eyeliner and mascara with a light pink lip gloss to finish. By the time I had picked up my bag and put on my black flats Arie had pulled in the driveway and honked her horn.

I walked out and got into her car and the first thing she said was " Do you think McBrien will like my outfit today?" Arie was wearing her mom jeans that made he butt look fabulous and a black tank top with the army style jacket I had given her earlier this year. I shock my head and laughed a little. "Hey! what's so funny!" She asked looking a little offended. "Nothing you look fine. Im sure McBrien will enjoy your butt in those jeans."

    As we pulled into the school parking lot Arie said she had to go to her locker and put her clothes in for her after school community serivce gig she is doing to help her grade in Economics. She waved goodbye as we parted ways and entered the school courtyard. I had about 15 minutes until the bell rang for us to go to first period and honestly I didn't want to go to class just yet.  I walked over to the table just outside the black box which thankfully was empty meaning the black box was open. I pulled out my phone and plugged in my headphones to relax and got out my lines to study a bit before I had to perform this morning. As I was halfway through my lines someone sat down next to me. I looked up to see Tobias sitting there. I pulled out my headphones and offered him a simple hello. "Hey did you know that Katie is back?" he asked. "Yeah I saw her yesterday during lunch." I replied back. "Well did you go talk to her?"

"No. I didn't. There's nothing left to say. She obviously wants nothing more to do with me and I would rather not talk about this right now..Sorry." He seemed a little hurt by what I had to say. "Okay. Well I know she wants to talk to you." I rolled my eyes and and laughed. "Yeah, she probably just wants to make sure I stay sways from here." Tobias shook his head and proceeded to stand up. Before he left he looked over his shoulder and said "By the way,she doesn't hate you. Just thought you should know" I was shocked and confused by what he had just said. "Please just think about it Krys." I didn't know really what to say. "Okay. I will. But I don't think it's going to end well." Just then the bell rang for us to go head to class. "See ya around"said as walked into the band hall for class. I stood up and put my headphones in my bag and walked into class. I was not looking forward to lunch. I wanted to go meet up with her and talk but I don't think I could handle it right now. Kyra entered class just before the late bell rang and took her seat next to me. "Are you read to perform your scene today?" she asked. "Hell no but I have to anyways." we both broke out into laughter.
