Today marked another day in the Bourgeois household. Alexis woke up with a bad headache, but she brushed it off as being normal, not knowing this was gonna be something more.
Looking over at her little/ big boyfriend, she stood up before quickly sitting back down.
"Whoa, ok. Dizzy spells are part of headaches. Maybe I had too much caffeine." She said, getting up slower, making sure not to disturb Larry's peaceful slumber.
As she struggled to get downstairs, Lau noticed the poor girl almost fainting with each step.
"Hey. Are you feeling ok? You don't look too good." Lau said with visible concern.
"I'm *sneezes* fine. It was just I been up a while, that's all." She lied. She lied straight to Laurent Nicholas Bourgeois and that alone was not a good thing.
"I think maybe you should see a doctor, Lexi. I mean, it couldn't hurt." Laurent said, leaning against the corner.
"Lau, would you stop *coughs* I'm fine, and I gotta get to the store to work for a couple of hours." She tried to grab her bag and fell forwards losing all her strength.
"Hey! Ok, I'm calling it, Lexi your having a sick day, and I don't want to hear anything else about it! You're burning up!" He said, catching the fainting girl and feeling her forehead.
There was no way Lau was gonna let his brother's girlfriend go out in the condition she was in.
"Lauuuu, I need to work *sneezes*" The young girl pouted and whined, obviously she was slipping into littlespace, which was hard for her to control while being sick.
"No way, and I'm telling Larry that you were trying to sneak to work and you were sick. Unless you let me take care of you, princess." Lau said, folding his arms.
Lexi pouted and folded her arms. "Fine" she was happy that she was gonna get taken care of but by her boyfriends brother? It's definitely hard to grasp.
"Alright up, you go." He picked up lexi with such ease, causing the smaller girl to squeak in surprise.
At first, lexi tried to fight it until she smelled Laurent's cologne and laid her head on his shoulder while he whispered sweet nothings in her ears. He finally sat down already prepared with medication, warm bottles, blankets, stuffies, binkies, and more.
Lexi was impressed until a deep cough hurt her from her core all the way up to her throat. She couldn't help it. The tears flowed quickly due to the pain.
"Oh poor princess," Laurent quickly pat lexi on the back and proceeded to feed lexi a warm tea bottle with medicine that he slipped into it.
Lexi's eyes closed as she listened to Laurent's heartbeat before dozing off. He wrapped her up in the blankets like a cozy burrito just as Larry was walking down the steps.
"She ok?" He asked, kinda worried.
"Yeah, just sick, but don't tell her I told you." Laurent winked as Larry laughed a little bit.
The rest of the day, they took turns caring for the sick little princess. When lexi felt better, she wished she had another sick day so she could get spoiled all over again.
