The sound of birds chirping, tires grinding against asphalt, machines beeping. Machines beeping?
Izuku Midoriya was waking up.
His eyelashes fluttered open as he adjusted to the brightness of the room, wondering how he got where he was.
"Hello, Midoriya!" A nurse addressed the greenette.
"H- Hospital?" was all Izuku could muster.
"Yes, you're at Jaku Hospital! You've been in a coma for several weeks."
"W- Weeks?"
"Mhm, let me get the doctor!"
Izuku didn't respond or react. He laid silently waiting for the doctor.
"You're looking great, Midoriya. Nothing out of the ordinary. You can be discharged today. Who should I call?"
"K- Kacchan..."
As evening hit, Izuku waited outside the hospital with his hands in his soft, clean pockets. Katsuki... All he could think about was how his boyfriend had brought him a change of clothes for when he woke up.
He wanted to be there for the occasion, not like he knew when Izuku would wake up, but nonetheless wanted to be there. The only problem in his mind was accidentally missing it. He'd been skipping some visits, sometimes he didn't even have the energy to leave his room. He knew he'd be safe, so he didn't worry. But when he got the call that his boy had woken up and was discharged, he jolted up and out of his comfort.
As Katsuki ran around the corner, Izuku gasped at the sight of his boy. He scrunched his eyes as they started watering. Katsuki sprinted forward and grabbed him, clutching his back tightly while gripping his shirt.
"Izuku, baby..." Katsuki whispered.
"I- I thought you were never gonna call me that again, Katsuki..." Izuku slightly chuckled as his tears fell.
Katsuki pulled away and touched their foreheads together, wiping the greenette's tears. Izuku was desperate for his love, his passion, so he leaned forward and pressed his lips against the blonde's. Katsuki was taken aback by this as he wasn't sure his boy would've wanted affection after his kidnapping, but nonetheless returned his feelings and motion. He put one hand on his neck and another on his cheek, as the greenette just tugged at his shirt to pull him close. He pulled away, more tears spilling than before. Katsuki couldn't even smile, he just pulled his boy into his neck and rubbed his back for a moment before grabbing his hand and walking him from the hospital to his apartment.
"We're not going to Heights Alliance?" Izuku cocked his head as he sniffled.
"Izuku, we all moved out a week ago."
"Wh- What?"
"I moved out your stuff so everything's at your place, it's not unpacked though."
"Wait, how long has it been since Shigaraki took me?" Izuku stopped them both dead in their tracks.
"The doctor didn't tell you? I wanna say about a month. Baby, we already took our final exams..."
"Wait... what..."
"Don't worry, they have an exam set up for you and they are still planning on having you continue to third year, you just can't join the class until you pass your final, and I think they have like an entire day of tutoring set up for you. It's all gonna be easy, baby, don't worry." Katsuki tried his best to keep the greenette calm and comfortable, as he knew this information would be a lot for him. He knew to throw out his favorite nickname too.
