*October 31st 1981*
Empty, that's the only way to describe the night sky. All was quiet in the Lupin household. Remus is sitting down stairs reading "Cujo" written by Stephen King which was published in September.
He is peacefully reading when there is a knock at his door. He looks at the time seeing that it is almost midnight.
He stands up and walks to the front door. He opens the door to reveal Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall and Rubeus Hagrid.
He spots something in Dumbledore's arms.
Remus: Dumbledore, is that a baby?
Ablus: indeed
Remus: why have you brought them here at this time of night?
Albus: may we come in and explain?
Remus stands to the side letting his former professors and Hagrid in. They all sit down and start talking again.
Remus: would you mind not being too loud, my daughter is asleep upstairs.
Albus: of cource, we have news regarding a few of your friends.
Remus looks at them all sensing this isn't a good this.
Minerva: Lily and James have sadly been killed, we suspect it was Voldermort
Remus: is Harry ok?
Albus: he's here
Albus hands the baby to Remus. Remus moves the blanket down to see the baby's face. He instantly recognises him, but is slightly confused.
Remus: how did he get that scar? i literally saw him earlier
Albus: we believe he got it from the attacker, we aren't sure how but that's all we have
He rubs Harry's head lightly.
Albus: we need you to take care of him Remus.
Remus: what about Sirius? and peter?
Albus: you was the first one we came to, we were aware of you already having a child so we thought you'd be the best fit
He nods not saying a word. Albus, Rubeus and Minerva all leave the house. Remus walks up the stairs to his daughter Lily's room.
He uses his want to make a second crib appear next to Lily's. He lays Harry down then goes back down stairs to grab his book and a drink.
He walks back into the room and sits down in a chair. He continues reading and sipping on his drink until he falls asleep watching over Harry and Lily.
