Jack wanted to freeze Bunny into the next week. He really would. How much of an ego has this overgrown rabbit to reject help against one of the biggest dangers the world has to offer? He claims to care for humanity, be it just the children, but he rejects extra help against Pitch. He can't admit weakness nor accept that may not even be needed. He'll fault Bunny if they fail.

The tornado made by Aurora lessened and Pitch used his new found freedom to attack. He conjured his scythe and attacked the guardians. His scythe became a rope near Jack, pulling Jack to himself. He then conjured an arrow, aiming for Sandy.

Sandy made himself a cloud and attacked Pitch, trying to get Jack. Pitch was waiting for Sandy to get close, but then he felt a pain in his stomach. Jack stabbed him with an ice spear. Sapphire's spear. He dropped his arrow and vanished in the shadows.

Sandy walked to Jack who left Pitch's side and gave him a thumbs up, he then hugged Jack. Jack hugged back slightly. Sandy should know Jack isn't that much of a hugger.

“O-Oh Sandy!”, said Toothiana, surprised by her friends affection.

'Oh, shut it, Tooth. Jack and I have been friends for over two centuries.', said Sandy with his signs.

“You knew each other for two centuries?” - “For how long?!”, asked Toothiana. - “Well, that explains how you brought him to the pole so fast.”, replied Bunny, while translating

“Are we gonna ignore that Jack is at least two centuries old?”, asked Toothiana. “I thought he is just a few decades old!”

Bunny opened a tunnel. “I for my part yes. Easter's soon, I still need to paint many eggies.”, he explained. Before jumping in, he turned back around and said, “Unless you want to help like we helped Tooth?”

“Of course! You helped me after all.”

“I fetch Yeti!”

'This will be fun!'

'Only because Sandy asked me to help you.'

“If you say so, Frost.”

Aurelie, Aurora and Sapphire returned to Queen Aurore's throne room for a small report. Queen Aurore sensed Sapphire's soured mood and asked her best fighter why she is fuming.

Sapphire reported they were in Burgess to do their work, when they saw Jack Frost fighting the Nightmare King. Hearing the name of the dark menace froze quite a few winter spirits with fear – pun fully intended – while the curious ones just came closer. Their flapping of their wings becoming louder to Aurelie.

Sapphire continued that they helped Jack fighting the king, until the Guardians of Childhood appeared.

“That overgrown cottontail had the gal to complain about our help!”, vented Sapphire to her queen and best friends sister. “He clearly was overwhelmed by the old spook, as they had asked Frost for help!”

“Egoistic kangaroo, he should choke on his eggs.”, chimed Aurora in, “For someone who claims to care for humanities youth, he is very reckless for the sake of his pride.”

“Typical Guardian behavior.”, said Queen Aurore. “They always act as if the other spirits don't care for humanity.”

“If anything, we elementals care more.”, chimed Yue in, Aurelie's substitute while she substitutes for Frost. “We care for young and old, while they only care for the children.”

Many winter spirits agreed.

Whitaker asked, “Girls, did you figure out why Frost helps them but not anyone else?”
