Sapphire followed Scarlet into the guest bedroom and sat there while she showered and attended to her wounds. When she came out Sapp confronted her "Scar why are hiding your feelings" "What the hell are you talking about I'm not hiding anything!" she snapped out. The tension of her evening's misadventure was finally getting to her. "Scarlet Annabelle Blair when have you ever been able to hide anything from me? I know you love him. You love him so much that it hurts to know he doesn't feel the same way but then again you don't know if that's true because you never told him how you felt. Tell him." Scarlet hardly heard what her friend was saying because the room suddenly became blurry and she sank to floor before the first tear fell and began sobbing loudly like a child. Sapphire came rushing in full of apologies and knelt beside her friend silently consoling her until the flood subsided. She always felt good after crying but this time she didn't and only she understood why. She needed him. A touch from him could ease her tormented soul. She was going to let him know how she felt and soon because she could now longer contain her feelings. She took a tissue from the table, wiped her tears and turned to her friend and said "I'm starving!" and left the room. She maybe be one of best psychiatrist and knew how important it was to talk about feelings but yet she was stubborn when it came to talking about hers. Sapphire needed to do something that would push Scarlet to confess her feelings to Al and this was the perfect opportunity and she was definitely not going to let it pass even if both of them was stubbornly dwelling in their ignorance. When she entered the kitchen Scarlet was eating her pot roast and the guys were drinking cold beers. She sat down and turned to Matt "Sweetheart don't you think it would be best if Al accompanied Scar tonight and maybe stay with her until things blow over..." she heard Scar choke on her food but rushed on" he has contacts and will be a better help to her than the two of us." "I was thinking the same thing but don't you think Al and Scar would have some objections about that?" "I don't have any if she doesn't" replied Al. He actually agreed. Scarlet could almost jump for joy but realized everyone was waiting for her answer. "Well if he doesn't mind I guess it wouldn't hurt". She actually agreed, maybe she doesn't hate my guts after all thought Al. Just then a car pulled up in front of the house and Scar rushed to get her bag. "That must be Mike" "Take care okay" Sapp warned. Scar kissed her friends. "I will Sapphie don't worry" Matt and his wife watched as their friends left. "Everything will be okay won't it Matt?" He smiled, hugged his wife and said yes. *** "We need to stop somewhere that's safe for me to buy some stuff and make a few calls" she told Al. "Sure I need to make a few calls as well" Once in the car they were silent. Scarlet didn't bother to talk since she was extremely fatigued and wanted to rest her eyes for a while. As she doused off Al sat there silently debating whether or not to talk to her but when he glanced in the back seat he saw that she was comfortably sleeping there all cuddled up like a small child. He smiled to himself and watched as the lamp lights danced off her face. She was his world and he would make it his duty to protect her...
