On this jewel that we call Earth(though some may tend to disagree), resides many creatures. From birds, to fish, and even rodents, it seems like Earth has a countless multitude of animals, these fascinating creatures. I say countless not because it's impossible to count them all, but rather we have yet to count them all. It is possible, but undone as of now. We may have discovered every single living being on this planet, but we may also have not. We have no way of knowing this seemingly classified information. Among all of these fascinating creatures lies one of the most, in my opinion, interesting creatures on the face of the earth.

Mankind. Out of all of these wonderful animals, Mankind stands out quite a lot. Birds can fly, fish can swim, and rodents Move with practiced agility. All of these incredible abilities are inherited at birth. While all of those are brilliant miracles for these animals, that brings another question. What can we do, as humans? We cannot fly, as we do not have wings. We cannot swim, as we do not have the body of a fish. We cannot move with agility, as we are bipedal. However, we can and have, as we've done throughout history, achieve all of these. We may not be gifted with wings at birth, but we built the airplane with our complex brain. We do not have the body of a fish, but we have discovered a way to swim, perhaps not as fast as a fish, but we learned to swim nonetheless. Last but certainly not least, we can use our 2 legs, instead of 4 legs, to move with agility if practiced.

Do you see a pattern? Though we are not gifted with the genetics or body parts of a bird, a fish, or a rodent, we are gifted with the wonderful tool that is the mind. At birth, we are gifted the brilliant thing that we call the mind, something that we have used for centuries to discover and create. If that doesn't amaze you, I don't know what will. What also makes humans amazing is the fact that no matter who we are at birth, we can become anything we want, do anything we want, create anything we want. In my eyes, it's nothing short of a miracle.
