Adventure Beyond The Firmament [Heiscara]

Chapter 1

Across the halls of the Zapolyarny Palace, the Diplomats that were guarding the place from any potential intruders bowed with respect or fear before their Harbinger, who was hastily walking through the hallways, his destination being none other than the Doctor's lab. Only a few moments ago, the infamous Harbinger, Il Dottore, had sent one of his assistants to let Scaramouche know that he had made a breakthrough in his latest project, so the Balladeer naturally had to check it out.

He almost fell once or twice as he ran down the long flight of stairs and didn't even knock before opening the door and looking around for his fellow Harbinger. The Doctor nearly dropped the priceless, newly made gadget at the sudden appearance of the indigo-haired man. "Have you lost your mind?! You almost made me drop it!" He snapped at the puppet.

"You didn't drop it though. So, is this it?" Scaramouche asked, pointing to the small device Dottore was holding.

"Yes, Scaramouche. This is possibly my greatest achievement so far." He answered pridefully, raising the metallic object higher, the Balladeer's eyes following it.

"When are we testing it then?" He inquired eagerly.

"Right now, actually. That's why I called you." Said the Doctor, visibly excited to put his magnum opus to the test. Who wouldn't be? That little machine, taking inspiration from the portals the  Abyss Order utilises to go from one place to another, should be able to teleport someone to a different world entirely. Dottore couldn't even begin to imagine what kind of magical places he was about to gain access to, the possibilities were simply endless. Not to mention the prank they for Childe they were going to use this for. Now that would be hilarious.

"So, I need you to press this button right here to teleport." He explained, before handing the gadget over to the indigo-haired man."Then, to come back here, just press this button. Simple, right?"

"RIght." Scaramouche agreed, turning the gadget around in his hand to take a better look at it. Despite it's small size, it was quite heavy, he noticed.

"What are you waiting for? Press the button." Dottore urged him, almost irritated that the puppet was taking so long.

"I swear to the Tsaritsa, if this kills me, I'll haunt you." And with this threat, Scaramouche pressed the button, vanishin into thin air.

Surprisingly, the Balladeer didn't die; opening his eyes he found himself at an unknown location, standing in what seemed like an alleyway. Taking a better look around, he noticed how different the buildings were, the architecture was unlike what he's used to seeing in Teyvat and they were very tall, almost like little palaces. Just from this glimpse of this world that he got, Scaramouche was certain that he was, indeed, in a faraway world and he was probably the first person from Teyvat to ever visit it.

Now, he was faced with a dilemma. The puppet was supposed to return to Teyvat and report that the test was successful, but who was going to stop him from exploring for a bit?  It wouldn't be the end of the world if he looked around for an hour or two, he though and decided to see what was beyond the alleyway. The Harbinger was about to put the device in his pocket when he realised it had gotten hot to the touch. The puppet, of course, wasn't bothered by the temperature, but he knew that this was usually a bad thing so he tried inspecting it, only to find nothing wrong with it (probably because he was no expert when it came to machines).

All of a sudden, he heard a sound near him, further in the alley, as if something or someone had fallen and he was ready to attack whoever instigated that noise. Taking a few quiet and cautious steps towards it's source, the puppet saw some black bags containing mostly garbage and almost right on top of them  there was a guy.

The door in Kujoy Sara's office opened abruptly, revealing none other than Shikanoin Heizou, who was standing behind it. The detective practically ran outside and to the streets, leaving Sara no time to lecture him for vanishing yet again without notice the day before. Heizou made it out of the city in record-breaking time, in order to reach the scene of the crime, in Ritou, as soon as humanly possible to uncover the truth.
