Hey there, you can skip this and go straight to the actual chapter below, I'm not saying anything too important here. So, for quite literally no reason, I started associating the song "This Never Happened Before" by McCartney with Heiscara and I wanted to see if anyone else sees some sort of correlation between the two if you've heard the song, of course. If not, I think you totally should, it's very sweet and calming (in my opinion, it's the perfect kind of song to listen to while studying)!

The tall man in front of them didn't say anything at first, he simply observed the expressions Heizou and Scaramouche were making, as he sported a wicked grin. His eyes were completely covered by a mask, but his former colleague could sense what look he was being given. The Doctor was staring at them as if they were insects that would soon be crushed under his sole. "Well, well, well, fancy seeing you here, Scaramouche. Who would've thought we'd run into each other in the middle of Sumeru?"

"Quit acting as if we met by chance, Dottore." The indigo-haired man retorted.

"As you wish. I suppose you know why I'm here, then?"

"It doesn't take a genius to figure that out." The former Harbinger looked back to when he decided to steal the device from the Doctor's laboratory. Seeing the way things turned out, he almost regretted doing that, since, in the end, he didn't need to use it to find Heizou. If only he had known that...

"You're here for this, right?" Scaramouche continued, now holding the gadget in his hand. "You can have it."

Dottore shook his head before speaking. "While I would like to have back what you stole, you're actually wrong. You could say I'm here for an experiment."

Warning bells went off in the puppet's head, he had learnt the hard way that the Doctor's experiments never meant good. A good portion of those so called experiments and tests were just an excuse to torture him or any of his other test subjects. Maybe he would be fine if he was put through that again, but he wouldn't let Heizou suffer the same fate as him. He felt his partner hold his hand softly, probably out of fear, he assumed. The green-eyed man's hand was slightly sweaty, a clear sign of distress.

"What do you want?" The former Harbinger was gritting his teeth by that point as he spoke, wanting the man before him gone.

"Just in case you haven't noticed already, this device can take you at any point in time, not on this world, though, of course. So, I'm really eager to find out what will become of you and your little friend over there if something were to happen to your past selves." Dottore explained what his experiment would be about.

"Do we run?" The green-eyed man whispered, so that only his lover would hear him.

"No, he'll catch us." He muttered, clenching his fists.

"So, naturally, for this to work, I'll have to detain you both." The second Harbinger announced, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. He took a step closer to the two men, who, instinctively, took a step back to keep some distance between themselves and him.

"Now, now, don't be afraid, it won't hurt at all. Worst case scenario, you'll just seize to exist." He reassured the couple, as he kept walking towards them.

"When I say 'now', start running." Scaramouche whispered.

Before the burgundy-haired man could object, Dottore lurched right at them. The former Harbinger, just in time, pushed his partner away and avoided the Doctor at the same time. Then, the puppet used his brand new Vision to attack him with a gust of wind. Not expecting this in the slightest, the second Harbinger stumbled backwards, losing his footing.
