"Alright girls!" A voice rang through my head, effectively snapping me out of sleep.
"Uhhhhgggg," I moaned, dragging my head off the desk and sitting up straight, hoping nobody noticed my head had been on the desk and that I had slept through the lesson on proper etiquette in the court room.
How late have I stayed up studying for the Global History test last night? And, more importantly, did I finish the study guide? It's due today, I think. Maybe it was due last period? When do I have Global History? Before or after English?
"In the next few moments I will tell you one of the most important things in your life," She looked sternly at us. "Now, watch the board."
We all followed suite, but Piper also leaned towards me. "You look awful, Annabeth."
"Thanks for that vote of confidence, Pipes." I said dryly. Michaela started to draw letters on the board using chalk.
Piper raised her eyebrow. "Grouchy today."
I squinted at the letters, muttering to myself, "what does that say?"
"Annabeth?" I ignored her, trying to clear my head.
I faintly remember raising my hand and pointing to the door.
"Lady Annabeth, you are excused, but please come back after so I can catch you up. This is really important." I barely registered the words Michaela said to me before stumbling outside, not bothering to gather my stuff.
I slumped against the wall, catching my breath that had quickened.
I was NOT staying up that late ever again.
Grimacing, I decided to take a nap, which at the time was the only logical thing to do.
I climbed up the stairs, and collapsed on my bed. It was never this comfy, but something was off.
In this room, everything was neat, and there were fewer books on the shelves than what I would've had. The desk was organized, but had a yellow folder with papers inside.
I slumped into the pillows realizing that this was my actual room, not the one I was currently in.
Gods, it would be so awkward to live with Percy's wife. Or maybe they would move into the king and queen's chambers across the castle. Sally and Paul did want to go to a different vacation place, so they'd probably live there.
And while I'm thinking of the future instead of sleeping, I might as well ask what I'm going to do.
Of course something with architecture.
But what about that?
I changed into jeans and a t-shirt, still thinking.
Once a month every year I went to go see my family, and Helen my stepmother runs a fitness camp where we build all kinds of houses and buildings.
She usually pushed me more that the others, causing me to get injured, and then pushing me harder. It was a weird way of hers.
I'll probably thank her later, but I am certainly not thanking her now.
I dosed off on my desk, and woke up to Percy Jackson standing next to me and laughing.
"What now, Seaweed Brain?" I grumbled, pushing back my hair.
"Nothin'." He gave me a lopsided smile, his green eyes sparkling with amusement. He was wearing casual clothes, and a blue backwards hat. He hasn't done that in a while, and I admit is was nice to see him not in a suit.
