The clock ticked midnight. Me, Avery, and Lucas were already half way down the street by 11:59.
After that everyone split up, I was on snoop duty so I got to work. "Ok, if I were a lock box where would I be?"
*Ding*
"Five steps forward, three steps back.
follow my tracks, and find yourself

"A mouse trap? what does that even mean!" Not that long after I heard an alarm go off. Then it hit me, "IT'S A TRAP!" I called after Avery and Lucas only to find they were already half way out the door waiting for me.
"So, it was a trap. Is there no second box?" Avery asked more question than I could even think to answer. "What if there is a second box, but not in the school?" Lucas had a point. we were still walking halfway down the street before I got the idea only movies carry.
"What if its inside the first box?" We all said at the same time, "Great minds think alike I guess. Come on lets get back, we have a box to find.

After we got back to my house we looked for any possible access door that we may have missed. "Where could it be? we checked the whole dang box!" Avery said. "Did you check the back?" Lucas is literally the only smart one here. And would you look at that, there's the second box. "In our defense it is 1 o'clock at night."
"Yeah, sure great excuse."
"Whatever. what's inside the box?"
"A locket." Said Avery. "That's strange, neither mishelle or me had a locket." I mean the box wasn't technically ours. It was our moms box when they were close. "Well where did you and mishelle get the box from?' Asked Lucas. "We got it from our parents. Our moms like I just said." Lucas makes a face, "Right."
"Then maybe it was their locket?" Said Avery in a questioning tone.
"I could ask my mom about it. IF she even answers." I said. All of our phones made a noise at the same time. We thought it could have been unknown, but it was a news story.
BREAKING NEWS:
FREELAND HIGH IS OPENING BACK UP, AND WELCOMING ALL FREELANDERS BACK TO SCHOOL AFTER A SERIOUS CRIME SCENE. PARENTS ARE WORRIED, AND SOME SAY ANOTHER DEATH MAY HAPPEN. POLICE HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE THE CRIME SCENE SOMEWHERE ELSE AND ALLOW THESE STUDENTS TO GET A PROPER EDUCATION.
