Author's POV~

Adrianna woke up that morning with mixed emotions. It was art class day, something she loved and looked forward to every week.

But she was afraid to run into her worst nightmare, Santiago, They constantly bickered and argued, but deep down, there was an underlying attraction they couldn't deny.

Santiago had been going to the same school with Adrianna and her brother but never interacted with each other since they hadn't known each other.

Since it was nearing time to depart, she grabbed her keys after feeding her cat and then left. She was always so passionate about her art.

Arriving at the art studio, Adrianna tried to focus on her paintings, hoping to steer clear of any encounters with Santiago.

However, fate had different plans, as they bumped into each other near the easels. The tension between them was palpable, filled with a blend of annoyance and curiosity.

How could he have been in that very class? She thought to herself. If there was a possibility of her knowing Santiago was going to be in that class, she would've taken another one.

In that fleeting moment, Santiago spoke up unexpectedly, "What's a drunk like you doing here in a place of elegance." He scoffs.

With sarcasm striking his voice, Adrianna returned the tone. "I would say I agree but I don't think this is a place of elegance, well, that is considering the fact that you would be here." She said laughing. Santiago could do nothing but roll his eyes at her nice laughter since the teacher walked in.

After explaining the lesson, the teacher paired people with the worst art skill to the best. And as expected, Santiago got paired with Adrianna.

"Great, now i'm stuck with you." He said scoffing. "Well then stop having the art skills of a preschooler." She returned fiercely.

He mimicked her words quietly to himself and then continued to trace what she was showing him.

"You can't have the neck be like that since the perspective of the drawing makes it look longer." She said quietly but enough for him to hear her. "So then how do I do it?" He said in a confused tone.

"Look, let me show you." She said before grabbing his hand, gripping the pencil in his, and angling it enough to match her neck drawing.

In that moment, Santiago continued doing what Adrianna instructed. Before they realized it, they were unusually close to each other.  He took notice of this and looked at her to see if she would move away.

But to his amazement, she didn't say anything at all. In fact, she was so immersed in her art, Adrianna continued doing what she was doing.

I never realized how dedicated she is. This must be really important to her.  Santiago said in his mind. He took a couple of minutes to look at her.

Admire her really. I mean, how could he not? She looked so pretty focusing on the thing she was most passionate about. Adrianna finished her part of the drawing before turning over to see Santiago.

When she did turn, she was awfully close to him. Although she was startled at first, she too admired his face features. Santiago, noticing this, he looks away, burning bright red from nervousness.

Adrianna? Why would she ever make me nervous? Why did I get nervous? He said in his mind. He calmed down before turning back to her. Adrianna however, took notice of this and let out a small laugh.

"Are you red?" She asked innocently. "No. Why would I be." Santiago said sternly and rushed. Adrianna laughed to herself a bit more and dismissed it. Though he was quite stubborn, he still was cute.

After finishing and getting graded, Adrianna was packing her things up to leave, as well as Santiago. Before she could leave, Santiago caught up to her and carefully grabbed her arm from behind.

"Hey, Adrianna. I'm actually organizing an auction for my soccer team next week. It would mean the world to your brother and his team if you would come." He let out.

Adrianna was taken aback by his invitation, initially ready to decline. But as she pondered over it, a mischievous smile formed on her lips as a cunning idea sparkled in her eyes. "Sure, I'll come," she replied, surprising both herself and Santiago.

Unbeknownst to Santiago, Adrianna saw an opportunity to show off her competitive side.
