"what did you have to do so he wouldn't kill me?" the young girl shivered, tears in her eyes as her father asked this question for the second time. He wouldn't understand even if she told him.cause he never hesitated to do it all for her.
When Janine had left, the entire atmosphere was dense for the two. Tristan was never in any mood to talk to his sister. It's no wonder he and Andrew never mentioned her most of the time. "This is bull shit" he started, breaking the silence that had begun to suffocate him. Hannah put down the documents that Janine came over with. "Yeah well this is the only shot you have at keeping Genesis..so" Hannah responded and went back to reading the agreement. "Were are we even gonna find this woman " he asked. Hannah looked at him, shocked. "Are you kidding me..." She started, dragging him to the nearest mirror in the hallway. "What" Tristan arched, looking at a reflection of both him and Hannah. "Agh..nothing ..just,Andrew and Adin where right that day" Hannah restated , going back into the living room. Tristan knew exactly what she was talking about but he needed to hear her say it. "On which day..and right about what" he said, sounding clueless as he looked in the mirror. "I'm not gonna say it Mr Tate..I have no time" he heard her say. "Fine..so say we do find a girl, what are the odds that she'll agree to this" he began, walking back into the living room as well. "What are the odds that she won't?" Was her response. Tristan moved closer and sat near Hannah. Her eyes fixed on the folder filled with papers. "Oh I'm sorry..let me just" he apologized, accidentally knocking some sheets on the floor as he tried to get one and look at her at the same time. She was just so imaginary.

Like something from a fiction. Tristan was intrigued. "No its fine..let me help with that" she said, getting on her knees at the same time as him. "Why are you helping me" he managed say , putting together the last sheet off the floor. "Kk I can't tell you..it's really personal" Hannah responded, leaving him more interested. "I can do personal..tell me,..do you secretly have a fan crush on me" he asked, tweaking his eyebrows. "What the... Man,get out of town " she responded pushing him away. "So no crush" he said, making her laugh. "Not even over my dead body" she spoke and kept laughing. "Ok so why.. come on..tell me," he pressed on. Tristan was very eager to find out what drove this young woman to the abyss for problems that weren't even hers to begin with. First it was the deal in order to save her father's life and now this. Hannah Mussette was definitely fictional. A character in a movie that never truly died because the producer needed it so. "Ahhh..my mom died when I was really little... like Genesis little." Hannah began, then took a deep breath. He instantly knew it was personal for real because Hannah never talked about her mom.

"A lot of my mom's relatives wanted me to leave my Dad and stay with them." She said. "I definitely couldn't do that, they didn't even want me..they just wanted child support from my Dad." She added on, shaking her head. "How did you know that's all they wanted ," Tristan asked , considering the age at which she could have been. "Dude ,I was six ,not stupid " Hannah said , bluntly. "My Dad did everything he could to keep me away from the court and drama but..he couldn't do it alone " she continued. "Like I'm doing with Genesis " he added and she gave him a nod. He definitely couldn't protect Genesis without the help of his brother Andrew and Adin, much less be a father to her. "So eventually,I started to understand it all. Legal rights, court, justice..the whole enchilada " Hannah said. "That's why you worked as an intern under a law firm during highschool" he said, remembering the conversation that sparked between Hannah and Janine. " yeah kk..it took five years to win my dad's case." She said , hinting a laugh. " Five years..why" he asked. "To start with.according to the court,my Dad wasn't financially stable for me, he had a place to leave but not a home and there was no female figure around " Hannah counted the reasons one by one with her fingers on her right hand. "Wow..so how did you even win.." Tristan said. "I' had leaved with him my whole life, Tristan. My Dad was my home,my rock.. even the Judge could see it all over my face" she told him with a smile. "Every time they'd make me leave with one of my mom's sisters,I'd just ran back to him..kkk sorry if I seemed funny or crazy or wired" she laughed, pushing her curls to the side. "You seemed brave" Tristan said, setting his eyes on her and grabbing her attention. "So..this " she started to speak, quickly shying away. "Says..you have it all.. except,a home" she finished, handing him one of the papers in the folder she was reading. "what , ofcourse I do.. Genesis loves this place" Tristan defended. "Ok ,let's take a rain check " Hannah offered and he nonverbally agreed. "How long does it take for Genesis to say..' I wanna go home'" she asked . "45 " he responded. "Days?" She asked. "No ,I told you before Janine walked in..45 minutes before she gets bored" Tristan said and Hannah literally threw her head back just to laugh. "Dude..the fact that she ,calls her mom's place..home..is a big deal kkkk ..45 minutes" Hannah stressed. "Well I'm usually, working..she needs to understand that daddy has to work for her" he pressed on. "Understand.. she's six years old , Tristan..put yourself in her shoes" Hannah started. "My feet are too big for her shoes" Tristan said. "Kk no it's an expression..it means ,try to feel how someone else feels..you know that" she said, laughing a bit. "How would you feel if some horrible person came and took you away from your Dad..or mom" she asked him ,this time more sympathetic. Ofcourse Tristan knew what that

expression meant. He just never looked at it from genesi's point of view. "Wow..wait how do you know she's horrible" he asked , referring to bianca. "Believe it or not... speaking to her over the phone was enough to know that...I don't wanna meet her" Hannah said,as honest as possible. Tristan looked at her displeased expression. She wasn't wrong. His ex girlfriend was not a person that someone could easily get along with. Especially if that someone was anything like Hannah. They were complete opposites. "Alright..so,we find a woman to help make this joint a freaking home" Tristan concluded.
