Let's start this rant off with a question.
There are two women standing next to each other. One is in her underwear and the other is in a bikini. Which is more acceptable?

Most of you will have probably said the bikini because a) a bikini can just be worn by itself and b) you're supposed to wear underwear UNDER what you're WEARing.

Why?

Bikinis and a bra and knickers are just as revealing as each other. Heck, sometimes bikinis are more revealing!

I'm not saying "everyone must never wear bikinis again because they are shameful", I'm saying something more along the lines of "let her wear underwear at the beach if she wants, it looks like a bikini anyway".

The same with men. It's okay to wear a speedo on the beach (although it looks dreadful) but it's not okay to wear underwear.

What is with us?

If someone wears underwear at a beach it's 'indecent exposure' but a revealing swimming costume is fine? People need to have a little think about that.

Also labelling. A woman wearing underwear is a 'slut' but a woman in a bikini is either seen as 'normal' or 'confident'. A man wearing underwear is 'weird' but in a speedo is 'confident'. That my friends is underwear double standards.

Me = Wah?!?!?!
