Two people wearing cloak walked amongst the people on the street as they strud their way. The two hid as they saw an imperial riding a chocobo, looking out for intruders and such.
They continued to walk when the imperial passed. They went to an alleyway where it was not full of people, they also entered a house where someone was waiting for them, "It's good to see you Cid." A voice spoke as the male if the three went to the person and shakes hands with them.
"What have you learned." The dark haired male asks, "The Bearers are locked up in an old courthouse on the edge of town. And I hardly need to tell you who it is there to make sure they stay that way." The other answered, "Kupka's private guard." Clive spoke.
"It's a trap. And not a very good one at that." Exclaimed the other male, "Another? What does he hope to gain from this!?" Voiced out Jill, "I'll have the captives free before nightfall." Said the ifrit holder.
"You'll do nothing of a sort." Warned the other, then he continued, "Our comrades didn't give their lives for you to get your throat slit in a godforsaken slum."
"So those in the courthouse should be left to suffer?" Asked Clive, "That's not what I said. I simply meant it doesn't have to be you who frees them." Said the other, "Damn it all... You're as stubborn as the old Cid was." The male sighed.
"Just don't say I didn't want you. You're Cid now, and if anything happens to him, we're finished." The man warned as he watches both adults exit the house.
