𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟓

It had been a few days. Roxto and Ao'nung didn't hang out with you as much anymore which upset you.

But Lo'ak and Neteyam were over joyed when they noticed this. They thought they had finally left you alone, which made them happy.

You only saw Roxto and Ao'nung for your lessons. You knew they didn't like you like that, and it seemed they didn't want you to get the same idea as everybody else.

"Breathe in, breathe out," Tsireya ordered softly, her hands on your chest. You breathed in and out. You quickly darted your eyes over to Ao'nung and Roxto. They didn't seem to be paying attention.

You then glance at the sky, as you calmed down. Trying to forget about the situation. It worked, your heartbeat slowed down as your breathing got much better when you first came here.

"Nice job Y/N," Tsireya smiled as she lifted her hands away from your chest and sat up. Her gaze was far more gentle towards you than anyone, and you didn't notice it.

"So, do you all want to go for a dive?" Lo'ak asked, glancing over you more than once.
You saw this as an opportunity to rebuild the friendship with Ao'nung and Roxto.

"I see why not," You agreed.
"I'm with Y/N, I haven't swam in the ocean in a very long time," Kiri agreed.
Everyone ended up agreeing as you all dived in the ocean.

You're all several feet deep in the water. You look around, despite being here for about 3 weeks, you were still fantasized by the ocean life. You swam down to a glowing plant as you touch it.

It quickly retracts to its stem the second you touch it and you can't help but let out a smile. You feel a tap on your shoulder, you turn around and see Neteyam.

You tilt your head in confusion. 'C'mon, we almost forgot you,' Neteyam signed fluently. You were a little surprised at how he signed all of that while you couldn't even sign a sentence.

You look over Neteyam's shoulder and saw the whole group, waiting for you.

Neteyam grabbed your arm gently as he guided (even though you didn't need an guiding) you toward the group who were on the surface.

They were all talking. "Dude, can you guys slow down?" Lo'ak complained. "Can you swim any faster?" Ao'nung spat at Lo'ak.

He was unaware you reached the surface and just heard that. He noticed you in the corner of his eyes as he immediately dived back in the water, no words even mentioned as Roxto followed right after him.

You let out a soft frown and Tsireya noticed this. You wondered what you even did to get them to stop talking to you.

But part of you still wondered if they heard the conversation you had that night with Kiri and Tsireya.

Next thing you know, everyone dives after Ao'nung and Roxto. You stay at the surface alone for a moment before taking a deep breath and follow after them.

You follow their actions, as your eyes fluttered open in the water once again.

You felt a sudden presence next to you. You shot your head to your right and saw an ilu. Your lips formed into a smile as you formed Tsaheylu with it.

You mounted the ilu as you swam up to everyone. Everyone was taken aback by the sudden commotion that happened.

Lo'ak grinned as he found an ilu nearby as he made Tsaheylu with it and started swimming with you. 'Keep up Y/N,' Lo'ak signed, smirking.
