NARRATORS POV
"Promise you'll call and text every night?" Tom said softly as they stood in front of the airport doors.
"You know I can't stand a day without talking to you Tom" Mari replied colliding his hands into hers.
"You better or I'll catch the first flight to Vegas" He smirked.
"In that case i won't call you" Mari joked. Even with all the jokes, she really wished Tom had the chance to go along with her and the girls.
"Hey hey don't be sad liebe" Tom replied as he noticed her expression fade.
"Even if I'm not with you, I'll still be cheering you on from afar" He said looking into Maris eyes.
"I'm gonna miss you so much" Mari replied with hurt following through her voice.
"Me too schatz, but hey the months might go by faster than you think alright" Tom reassured her as his thumb brushed against her cheek.
"I'm sorry to interrupt guys but we have to go" Tesa said as the time started passing by quickly. They all quickly said goodbye to each other before splitting ways.
"I'll see you soon" Mari said holding Tom's hands tightly.
"Go show Vegas how it's done rockstar." Tom replied as he gave her one last kiss. Like every other kiss they had it was filled with passion but this time also filled with desperation seeing as this would be their last time feeling each others touch for 5 months. Tom watched her body blend in with the crowd while Mari felt her footsteps fade inches away from his presence. Not even a minute passed and they already missed each other like crazy.

Soon after passing through security, the girls made their way to the gates to wait for their flight.
"You okay?" Lexi asked noticing the frown on Maris face.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine" Mari replied with a fake smile even though Lexi knew what was wrong. The two were twins so any time one was feeling down, the other would feel apart of it.
"You'll be back in his arms soon Mar, don't worry" Lexi replied while holding Maris hand tightly. Mari gave her a sly smile knowing that if she said anything she'd start crying in Lexis shoulder immediately. Before continuing with their conversation, the two heard bickering coming from each corner of the room and from random strangers passing by.
"What's going on?" Mari asked furrowing her brows.
"I dunno" Lexi replied just as confused looking all around them.
