Darryl woke up. It was Sunday. He had no plans but a lot of missed calls and messages from Zack. Oh Zack, how you like playing with his poor heart...

Darryl looked at the messages. It seems like Zack was a little worried and felt a little bad for making him feel bad or disappointed. However, Darryl didn't cared that much anymore.

He just answered with an "I'm okay, thank you" that sounded more the opposite.

What could've make him fell like that? What could've make him feel indifferent? Maybe Zack's reaction when Karl entered. Maybe the fact that he was a bit jealous because when Karl left Zack smiled at him. Maybe the fact that he realized he doesn't need Zack, at least not now. He could find a thousand boys that are much better than him. Same could Zack do. But after all, Darryl started getting more and more curious of this person. And you know what they said, "curiosity killed the cat".

Someone knocks on Darryl's door. It was Nick. The used to hang out often, but Nick used to text him or call him before going to his place. Or maybe he did and Darryl just didn't noticed.

He opens the door and Nick comes inside. You could see a expression that was trying to hide all the curiosity he had inside of him.

"How are you?" Nick said smiling.
"Half asleep at the moment. How about you? How are you feeling?" Darryl said smiling back, politely.
"I'm good. I'm very good." Nick said.
"What brings you here?" The man asked, putting on his glasses.
"Just wanted to see how are you doing..." Nick said, still smiling, as he took a sip of the coffee Darryl made for him.
"Mhm... And what else?" Darryl said, rising his eyebrow.
"What else?" Nick said, kinda unsure.
"Cmon Nick. I know you. You want to ask something. Just say it already!" Darryl said looking at him.
"So you hooked up with Zack?" He said going closer to him.
"WHAT?!" Darryl said blushing like crazy.
"Karl told me what he saw. Are you two dating?"
"No... We didn't did anything" Darryl said, sounding kinda sad
"But you're gonna ask him out, right?" He said looking at Darryl.

On the other hand, Darryl didn't answered. He was just looking down. He would like to ask him out but he also wouldn't. He feels happy because Zack was about to do with him what he was about to do with him, but also dissapointed because Zack tried to disagree everything in front of Karl. He just doesn't know what to do. To ask him out and risk to be rejected or even get into something and then break up because Zack just can't admit his love for Darryl in front of the others? Or to just ignore him and forget he ever existed?... But that would just be difficult because they have been best friends for a long time and... Oh wait... They didn't.

"Darryl?" Nick asked sounding a bit worried.
"Yeah..."
"Are you ok?" He said looking at him.
"I don't know. I don't know what to do, Nick. I don't know what I want but most importantly, I don't know what he wants. Does he wants something or just a passenger relationship? Does he even likes me at least a bit?" Darryl said looking so sad, like he was almost gonna cry. He was trying to lie himself about the fact that he doesn't cares about Zack anymore but then again, it wasn't true.
"I think he likes you more than a bit. You were about to hook up with him and I don't think he was forced into it. I think you should consider asking him out tho. Who knows, he might be interested. But also, he seems the kind of guy that gets bored easily. He looks like the kind of guy that would be a player." Nick said looking at the window, while putting the empty cup of coffee back on the table.
"You're not helping Nick" Darryl said, his voice trembling a bit
"Sorry..." Nick said with a small smile.
