Chapter 6 The Annual Flying Competition!
Me and Rustle were warming up.We could see all the other participants warming up too. we even saw Lomber! But by the looks of it, he didnt need any warming up! He could fly extremely fast!!
I saw him stop and take off his wings (just like I can!), he lay them down against a tree. Then he walked away. I walked over to his wings and had a look at them. Then I noticed there was a tag saying"SUPER SONIC WINGS, NOT LIKE ALL THE OTHERS!!" He was cheating, that's why every year he has won!! "The competition will begin in 5 minutes, would all the participants please line up, no flying yet!" Aloud voice exclaimed. Anyway, Lomber wasn't back yet and I had an extra pair of wings with me! I quickly switched Lombers pair with my extra pair! I ran over to rustle and told him to hide them, because there cheat wings!!
When I came back it was time for the race to begin!
"Ready, Set, GO!!!!" the loud voice exclaimed once again!! Lomber was in the lead, and I was second!!! There were obstacles in our way e.g animals, trees, mushroom houses!! We were near the end, I could see the finish line. I knew there was a sharp corner up ahead, I would be able to pass Lomber out, if I fly faster! It was coming up and.......................................I did it, I was in the lead. ZOOOOM I crossed the finish line!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was first!!!! Queen Sardinia came up to me "Well done I knew you could do it!!" she said. "Queen Sardinia, Lomber had super sonic wings, that's why he had won every year, but I had an extra pair of wings with me so I switched them, to make things fair!!" I told her. "Is that so" she looks at Lomber!
"Well in that case, Lomber you are disqualified from The Annual Flying Competition FOREVER!!!!" She is now shouting at him! Me and rustle go back to my house and celebrate!! "Today was really fun!!"I thought.
