"taehyung you fucking idiot!"
i scream and rest my forehead on his leather chair. my body is lying on its side and taehyung is hovering over me with his tattoo needle. the pain is excruciating and many tears have already made their arrival.
"i'm sorry baby." taehyung quietly apologizes but doesn't spare me a glance; he's too engulfed in marking me. "how much longer?" i whine and attempt to steal a glance at it, but my vision is too blurry and i can only make out the black lines which look like scribbles to me.
"almost done." that was maybe his 5th time telling me that lie, and i was starting to lose consciousness. i close my eyes and grit my teeth as my fingernails dig into the material of his chair. "there," he stops and raises both hands. "all done." the terrifying buzz of the needle silences in an instant and i feel the pain begin to lessen.
my body relaxes and i can finally breathe again. i swallow hard and flutter my eyes open to see the satisfied look on his face. his hands are resting on his hips as he stares down at his drawing, which is now permanently inked on my skin. "can i see it?"
he holds his hand out and pulls me to my feet. once he lets go i walk over to the mirror in his room and twist my hip to the side. as tempted as i am to trace the beautiful picture, i know that i'm not yet allowed to — and that it would hurt too much.
taehyung stands behind me and analyzes it as well. "i love it." i breathe out and look at his reflection. he walks up and places a kiss on my neck. "definitely my favorite canvas thus far." i look over at him as my cheeks get hot and i can't help but smile just as wide.
i kiss his lips before swiping my shirt off of the table.
"hey taehyung! or should i call you shit face? no, you don't like that one?" in front of taehyung stands a tall and slender girl with half of her head shaved and the other dyed a vibrant red. it's so bright i feel a slight headache coming on just from looking at it. her lips are full and covered in black lipstick. it contrasts perfectly with her pale skin.
"hm okay, what about... dickhead? asshole? incompetent asswipe?" i chuckle as i realize she's calling him the names that slipped out of my mouth as i was getting the tattoo. taehyung on the other hand is unamused and simply rolls his eyes.
"shut up, oc." as taehyung walks away oc approaches me. "you're pretty funny when you're in pain. sup, i'm oc." she shakes my hand before hopping on the counter. "y/n, and i've never felt pain that excruciating before. i don't know how you guys do it."
my eyes scan her tatted arms which are visible because of her cut-sleeve charcoal nirvana shirt. she looks at both of her sleeves for a second before shrugging. "after the first 3 or 4 it starts to feel like a little pinch. tae didn't give you any numbing cream?"
"i actually did for your info." taehyung re-enters the room shutting a door behind him. "she just happens to be a bit more sensitive."
"let's see it." oc says and nods her head. "see what?" i'm completely lost as to what she's referring to. "your new tat, dipwad." my mouth opens in a moment of realization. i lift my shirt and turn to the side, attempting to show her taehyung's artwork, but it's covered by the saran wrap. "well from what i can see, it looks great!"
i drop my shirt and grin. "thanks." i hear a grumble come from behind the desk which causes my brows to furrow and oc's head to fall back. she rolls her eyes and groans before grabbing a pen and chucking it at whatever was emitting that awful noise.
jungkook's head shoots up, and attached to his cheek is a pencil of his own. i cover my mouth to silence the laugh threatening to fall from my lips. "ugh oc what the fuck man?" she hops off of the counter and takes a seat next to him. "no sleeping on the job, i can't do this secretary stuff on my own." she reaches over and rips the pencil off of his cheek.
"ow," he moans and rubs the spot on his face which has now accompanied a red, thin, outlined space where the pencil once was. "you're not even a secretary you're a tattoo artist." she thumps both of her leather boots on the desk before crossing them and resting her hands behind her head. "not today."
jungkook shakes his head before turning his attention to taehyung and i. "oh hey guys how'd it go?" before i can have this entire conversation over again taehyung interrupts. "as much as we'd like to stay and chat, y/n and i have things to do. bye losers." he grabs my hand and pulls me out of the shop with him.
"i like oc." i blurt out before stuffing a piece of steak in my mouth. taehyung tilts his head and squints his eyes, and i swear i see his nose scrunch in disgust for a moment. "really? why?"
i shrug and pick at the meat on my plate. "i dunno i guess she's funny." taehyung doesn't respond to this and only continues to dig into his gyro.
in all honesty i liked jungkook and oc, and i wouldn't mind coming to the shop every now and then just to talk to them. they're both funny and welcoming, but i don't know how much i'd like seeing taehyung's ex fling here and there.
"what's going on with you and rey now?" he takes a sip of his water before leaning back and letting out a small belch to which i frown at. "sorry. i cut ties with her after the first time i brought you to the shop."
i raised my eyebrows and set my fork down. "really? even after her once in a lifetime opportunity of dessert?" i tease as he nods with a smile on his face. "yup. i think that's what motivated me," he folds his arms and leans forward. "other than having you back in my life."
i look down at my lap and suppress the smile daring to paint my lips. "stop doing that." i mumble before looking up at him through my lashes. "doing what?"
"the little flirty thing where you make my cheeks get hot and i get like butterflies." i stuff another piece of steak into my mouth as he laughs quietly. "i can't help it, y/n you know i'm naturally seductive."
i roll my eyes and shake my head at him. "when did i ever say anything about you being seductive?"
"you don't have to say anything." he leans over and boops my nose to which i flinch and close my eyes. i sigh gently as he somehow finds himself hilarious and bursts into a fit of laughter. "such a weirdo."
i whisper and open my eyes. "what am i gonna do with you, taehyung?" he grabs my arms and pulls me over the table meeting my lips half way with a soft kiss. "keep me forever." he falls back in his seat, and so do i, but our fingers stay intertwined.
now that was an answer i could agree with.
i clap my hands excitedly as he steps out of the dressing room. "you look so handsome!" i ball my hands and rest them against my chin.
taehyung isn't too fond of the suit though. he turns around to look in the full length mirror and tugs at the collar of the suit. "too tight?" i question and he shakes his head. "too itchy."
i sigh and fall in my seat. there's a heap of suits next to me, all of which he wasn't satisfied with. too small, too big, too long, too short, too ugly, too formal; it was always something.
"taehyung you'll just be a guest at the wedding, nobody is studying you that hard." he turned around and began unbuttoning the top. "um hello? this will be your entire family's first time ever meeting me. they're definitely gonna judge me y/n."
i stand up and cup his cheeks. "taehyung, you are perfect, and i'm sure my family will think so too," i drop my hands and walk over towards the pile of rejects. "plus you look great in all of these. trust me there's nothing to worry about."
i look back at him and smile. his slumped shoulders raise and he exhales before looking back in the mirror at himself. he runs his hands down his chest and nods. "okay. okay you're right let's get this one."
i sweep up all the other suits and throw them over my arm.
end.
