Chapter 2

~Rin~

"Absolutely not."

All eyes suddenly turned to Hyuuga. For the very first time, Hyuuga had a serious expression on his face.

"I'm sorry Aya-Tan, but Rin is not cut out to be the leader. Even if she is your daughter."

"And why do you say that, Hyuuga?" Ayanami asked him.

"She's too young, she's inexperienced on missions, and she can barely control her Warspheil," Hyuuga answered.

I looked down.

"He's right on all of those things.....," I thought to myself. "Maybe I'm not cut out to be a Black Hawk......"

~Kuroyuri~

I looked over at Rin. Her head was down, her brown bangs covering her purple eyes. I was slightly worried. Everything Hyuuga said was true, but I've known Rin since she was a child. She was loyal and caring, just like her Mother use to be.....She's also a good leader....She could easily lead a team.

"Wait a minute...."

My mind sparked with the idea.

"Rin is capable of leading the Black Hawks!" I yelled, boldly.

A little too boldly.....Everyone turned to me. Rin looked up at me, curiosity crossing her face.

"Why do you say that, Kuroyuri?" Ayanami-Sama asked.

"Everything Hyuuga said was true....."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rin look back down. Her bangs covering her eyes, once again.

"But Rin has great leadership!"

Her head lifted up slightly.

"If she had to lead a new team.....Her team would better than the Black Hawks!" I yelled.

My chest tightened. I know I wouldn't say that......But this is is Rin. She's my best friend......I have to stick up for her.

"Kuroyuri, that's enough....."

I felt a hand touch my shoulder. It was a soft but firm grip. I knew right away it was Rin. I watched her as she walked in front of me, her hand sliding away from my shoulder. Her head was still down, however, her hair covering her face.

"Kuroyuri is right....," She muttered.

My eyes winded. She shot her head up and glared at Ayanami-Sama.

"If I wanted to make a new team, I can, and they will be better than the Black Hawks!" She yelled.

"Rin-San!" Konatsu suddenly yelled.

"You and what team?"

Rin and I both flinched.

"Let's make a deal......"

"A deal?" We both asked.

"If you can gather a team, train them, and make them join the Barsburg Empire Army in 5 years, I will hand the Black Hawks over to you, and I will retire," Ayanami-Sama said.

"And if I don't?" Rin dared to ask.

"You will banned from the Barsburg Empire."
