Chapter 4

~Rin~

I looked up from my bag, as I heard the door open. A tall man with white hat and purple eyes walked in. I turned around so I couldn't look at him.

"What do you want, Dad?"

"I came to say good bye."

I chuckled softly.

"You? Say goodbye? Pretty ironic isn't it?"

I suddenly felt him hugged me from behind.

"Rin.....Your my only daughter I have left.....I don't want you to get hurt......"

I stayed quiet for a while. After a couple of minutes, I turned around and hugged him back.

"I love you Dad......"

"I love you too, Rin....."

I suddenly felt something on my head. I reached up and took the object off my head. My eyes winded when I realized, it was his hat.

"Dad, this is your hat!" I yelled.

He smiled and patted my head.

"I know."

"Why are you giving this to me?!"

"So you won't forget what's the most important thing in your life."

"The Black Hawks.....," I whispered, staring down at the blue hat, I was holding.

I heard the door opened and I quickly looked up.

"Good bye, Rin......Good luck with your mission....."

I smiled.

"I won't let you down, Ayanami-Sama!"

He smiled at me, and closed the door. I looked down at the hat. I soon noticed something attached to the bottom of it. I flipped it over, and saw a yellow piece of paper. I picked up the paper and read it.

"Hunters Exam. Entries end 4-25, at 6:00 P.M."

"That's only three days from now....."

I smiled and grabbed my back pack. I placed it onto my shoulders. I looked in the mirror as placed the black hat on my head. I gripped the yellow paper, and walked out of my room one final time.

I leaned on my cruiser, Rin and I used.

"What's taking her so long?" I thought.

I heard the door open and I snapped my head over to it.

"There you are, Rin."

I froze when I saw her wearing Ayanami-Sama's hat.

"Is that-

"Hai," She answered, before I could finish my sentence.

She placed her backpack in the backseat.

"Let me guess......You're here to say goodbye?" She asked.

I smiled.

"Nope."

I held up my bag, so she could see it.

"I'm going with you."

She smiled as I placed my bag right next to hers.

"So where are you guys going first?"

We both turned around, to see a blonde boy with brown eyes.

"Hey Konatsu!"

"We're going to the Hunter Exams!"

"Hunter Exams?"

I looked at Rin confused.

"I looked it up. The Hunter Exams are held every year for people who want to become Hunters! So all in all, if we go to this Exam we might find some people for our team!" Rin answered.

"Our?" Konatsu asked.

"Hai!"

I wrapped my arm around Rin's shoulder.

"We're going together!"

He smiled at us.

"Well it's going to be really boring without you two.....So don't get yourselves banished!"

We both laughed.

"No promises!" I yelled, as I jumped into the Driver's seat.

Rin jumped in next to me. Konatsu walked over to the side of the cruiser. He gently patted it.

"I guess this goodbye for awhile....."

"Don't worry Konatsu!"

"We'll be back before you know it!"

He smiled at us. I started the engine and we both lifted up into the air. Konatsu waved at us as we both took off. I flew out of the ship, and into the clear blue sky. Rin smiled and fist bumped the air.

"Hunter Exams, here we come!"
