step two. — add your faceclaim / image. make sure to remove the background if it has any, and this is how it will look like. (if you need help with this please let me know, picsart's privacy policy won't let me take screenshots) i've pasted the link to the image in the inline comment here.

step four. — now open phonto and open the transparent background you just saved. add the title of your book, and play around with the controls however you want. make sure the colour of the font matches the colour theme of your cover. the font i've used here is IM Fell DW Pica - Italic

after you're done, click on the download button and save it as a png.

step six. — now open the draft that you've saved, and add the title. you can adjust the sizing as you want. if you wish to add a border for the cover, make sure the colour of the border is the same as the colour of the font. (picsart will not let me screenshots of this, either)

this is how it'll finally look

hope this helped! it was a very basic cover, and i usually add more stuff to my covers (overlays, etc) but since i wanted it to be beginner friendly i didn't add much. if you have any doubts or any problems please do let me know and i'll try to explain better. picsart was being super bitchy by not letting me take screenshots, but i've tried my best! 😤

request anything else you'd like to see me make a tutorial on!
