Pocu wakes up yawning and looking around. "Rodet?" She asks confused as she looks around and he isn't in the room. Pocu climbs out of bed and starts to look around. As she explores, she finds the shrunken carriage and picks it up. "Did Mr. Rodet make this?" She wonders as she starts to play with it. Rodet enters the room finding Pocu playing with the carriage. "Don't play with that. It's not a toy," Rodet says tiredly as he enters and closes the door. Pocu frowns as she puts the carriage up. "Where were you?" She asks as she sees him walking and plopping on a bed. "I was out making some money. We leave after I wake up from my nap. Don't leave the room." Rodet says as he places a small bag of bronze coins on the nightstand. "But I'm bored!" Pocu says annoyingly. Rodet claps his hands and a small golem is made from the pillow on the other bed. Pocu happily looks at the Pillow Golem and starts playing with it, bouncing and running around the room. After a while, Pocu and the golem lay on a bed resting as Rodet wakes up stretching. "Ok let's go," Rodet says, standing up and clapping his hands. The pillow Golem waves bye to Pocu as he turns back into a pillow. "NOOOO! PILLOW!" Pocu cries out. Rodet looks tired as Pocu cries, "Look, he's not gone. He's just... resting for now. Next time I make a golem, he'll remember you even if he's in another body." He says, trying to calm her down. "Really?" "Yes. Now let's go. We're burning sunlight." Rodet says as he takes the carriage and bag of bronze coins, then leaving the room with a happy Pocu. As they walk through the Inn Pocu smells something good. "What's that smell?" Pocu hungrily asks. "It's Beastkin food. Poisonous to humans, but honestly worth the horrible food poisoning." Rodet says as they continue to walk down the hall. "So I can't eat the food?" "You want horrible food poisoning?" "No..." Pocu says sadly, shaking her head. "We can get some fruits on the way to the plaza." "Boo! I want tasty food!" Pocu declares. Rodet sighs. "What tasty food is there? You can go try eating the beast's food if you want something tasty. Be happy you're even getting some food." Rodet says, annoyed. They exit the building and Rodet places the carriage on the ground, clapping his hands. The carriage grows and Rodet has a small nosebleed cleaning it with a handkerchief. "Let's go." He says as he climbs on and Pocu struggles to climb onto it. After a while of riding the carriage, they arrive at a large forest of orange apple trees. Rodet parks the carriage next to them and picks one, handing it to Pocu "here. It's pretty much an apple but has a more sweet taste than usual." Pocu takes a bite of the apple and loves it happily eating it. Rodet claps his hands and many of the orange apples are telekinetically plucked from the trees and float into the carriages trunk. Rodet has to clean his nose of blood once again as he finishes. "Wow!" Pocu says, amazed as she sees all the orange apples floating into the carriage. "Can I learn how to do that?" She asks happily to Rodet, who sits back down. "Well, anyone can learn magic. Especially humans. All humans are born with a magic core. It's located about here." Rodet says, pointing at Pocus kidneys, "the core allows us to naturally absorb mana and then we just have to mix it with... life force, so to speak." Rodet says as he starts the carriage again and they start to move. "So can you teach me?" Pocu excitedly asks. Rodet groans. "well I could. But you are pretty young, so you might get confused on the terms. But I will just teach you the basics. If you want to know how to do anything else youll have to learn it yourself, ok?" He asks Pocu with a very slight smile. Pocu happily agrees. As they ride the carriage, Rodet begins his lesson. "So to use magic, Pocu, it's a bit confusing." "How?" "You have to be Able to mix Mana and your own life force. Think of a spell as a blank canvas and mana as paint and life force as the paint brush. You use the mana to fuel what you want to make and use life force as the brush to draw what you want. Once you've put these together, you draw on the canvas using the paint of mana to bring color to the canvas and life force as the brush that paints on it. Although not everyone has this innate talent. I can't teach you this. I can only guide you to it. Understand?" Rodet asks as Pocu nods. "In order to start mixing Mana, you must sense the Mana in the air first. I'll make it a little easier for you." Rodet claps his hands and Pocu's skin slightly glows blue. "What I just did was enhance your sense of Mana. Can you feel something now?" He asks Pocu, who nods. "I can feel a weird tingly feeling. It's everywhere! It's kinda tickling me." Pocu says, giggling. Rodet sighs. "Ok, well, at least you can sense it now. Now close your eyes and try to absorb that "tingly" feeling you had. As you absorb it, imagine the bucket of paint being filled by mana and stirring that bucket with the paintbrush of life." Rodet calmly says while glancing over to Pocu while he drives the carriage. Pocu closes her eyes, following what Rodet said. Pocu picture a bucket of red paint being stirred by a black paintbrush. She imagines the paintbrush being lifted in the air and drawing a burning red fire. Suddenly, a flame burst into flames from Pocus' palms. "Whoa!" Rodet says surprised, clapping his hands, Pocu's fire being extinguished. "What was that?" Pocu asks, a bit scared. "Calm down. It was a spell. It seems you can mix Mana and your life force. Since you could make fire so easily, it seems you have a natural affinity to Fire." Rodet says, a bit impressed "oh. Is that good?" Pocu hopefully asks. "Fire is a pretty basic element. It's the first thing you usually learn. Doesn't mean it's not good though. Ok that's all for today. We're at the bridge." Rodet says as he parks the carriage. The two get off the carriage, Rodet claps his hands, and the carriage shrinks again. As they approach the bridge, a large tree blocks the path. "Oh, maybe it has riddles! I remember a book my mom read had these problems!" Pocu happily says as she approaches the tree. Rodet sighs, taking a deep breath as he claps his hands. Pocu is pulled from the tree by an unseen force and is floating next to Rodet. "Don't walk up to random things, Pocu. These lands are dangerous." He says as Pocu is placed on the ground. "So what do we do?" Pocu asks. "Fire." Rodet says plainly as he claps his hands, a ball of fire being made between them. "Whoa!" a voice says as the tree begins to move. The tree stands up, revealing it's a treant. "We don't have to do such barbaric methods. I'll happily let you through so long as you can show the proper paperwork." The tree kindly says with a warm smile. "Me and the girl don't have a passport. I will set you on fire if you don't let us pass." Rodet says, annoyed as he makes the fireball In his hands expand. "Ok dang man! I'm just trying to do my job." The tree says, walking aside with a slight panicked expression. Rodet and Pocu walk through the bridge, Pocu happily waving goodbye to the Treant. As they walk through the bridge, Pocu asks Rodet. "Why don't you have a passport? Also, what's a passport?" "I was never given one. Humans aren't supposed to be moving around the different worlds and a passport is pretty much just a book that says who you are." "Why aren't humans allowed to?" Pocu asks but Rodet doesn't respond instead continuing to walk. As they walk through the bridge, Pocu looks over the bridge to see what's below it. Pocu finds nothing below the bridge, only a deep abyss of darkness. This scares, Pocu so she quickly goes behind Rodet. As they approach a wall of water at the end of the bridge, Rodet claps his hands "Pocu no matter what, stay close. This place is... worrisome, to say the least." A bubble appears on Pocus' head as gills appear on rodets neck. "Why is it warysome?" Pocu asks Rodet as she grabs onto his wrist. "It's better you don't know." Rodet says as the two walk into the wall of water.
