As they finish ordering the Valis nods and leaves promptly after serving them some water. "I believe we can begin the true discussion now, Lord Rodet." Matzavah says with a slight smile. "There is nothing to discuss. I won't hand Pocu over or the gem to that damned Elf." Rodet says with a glare as he drinks some water. "Surely there's something that could change your mind? I don't want to give the girl over, but me and Merkavah can't exactly just return empty-handed. You understand, this right?" She says with a calm tone of voice with a smile. "I do. However, I don't want to subject her to the torture that elf practices. His chemicals and magic are demonic. I'm sure you've heard the rumors of the crying underground in Dryadalis. Such rumors aren't necessarily born of lies." Rodet continues to glare at her while keeping a calm voice. Matzavah sighs, spinning a straw in the cup. "I truly don't want to fight you, Lord Rodet. After all, wasn't you who taught us never to harm a comrade?" She asks with a solemn expression. Rodet nods. "I did. So just leave and go back with that damned Fool and elf. I can't willing subject anyone to his torture." Rodet sternly says. Matzavah seems to perk up as he speaks. A grin grows on her face. "Lord Rodet - no... Galdur, how long has it been since Babylon?" She asks with a warm voice. As Matzavah mentions Babylon Rodets' eyes grow wide in shock. "How do you know that name?" He says with a slight hint of rage, staring Matzavah right in her eyes. Matzavah smiles. "I like to consider myself a mother to my fellow Arcana. And as such, I have devoted a large amount of time into... researching my comrades past." She says with a smile. Rodet looks nervous as she speaks, Pocu noticing this. "Babylon. Oh, my, how long has it been since that time? Since the Tower of Babel? I believe these names were names from a divine scripture of our home. Sadly, many of the Arcana were taken here as children, so we don't know of this divine scripture you do. Isn't it the same place you got those names for those... creatures?" Rodet keeps his composure despite the concerning conversation he is in. "He told you, didn't he? That damned fool Harishon." He says in an angry tone of voice, but not yet furious. "So what of it? Babylon was simply a failure. A mistake that should have never occurred. Such is the same as the tower." He says in a voice, attempting to be calm. "How long ago was it? Please enlighten me." Matzavah says in a now oddly kind voice. "It was... 6 maybe 7 years ago. Why do you keep asking?" Matzavah then chuckles. "Galdur, how can you talk of not subjecting anyone to torture? I wasn't made aware Galdur Rodet, the magician was a hypocrite?" She says in a misleadingly innocent voice. This seems to anger Rodet as she slams his hand on the table, surprising Matzavah. "As I said. Babylon was a mistake that shouldn't have happened. I regret my mistakes. I was foolish. Elmar doesn't regret his actions, nor is he foolish. My Sins aren't the same as his. I repented yet he continues to drench himself in Sin." He says while still trying to be calm but is clearly agitated. Matzavah clicks her tongue "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. The nature of the Sin doesn't matter now, does it, Galdur? Wasn't you who taught us the nature of the Sin does not matter? Only the fact a Sin has occurred is what will be judged by the lord. You taught us that very phrase. Making sure we all knew it down to our core. Yet here you are saying that your sins aren't the same as his? Just because you repented? I don't believe that. You deny your own Sins Galdur. Do you think helping this lost one will cleanse you of these sins? It won't. You told us yourself yet again, forgiveness is not something that can be expected by doing an act of kindness. Forgiveness is something that must be given by the lord. Forgiveness is only possible when an action is made to right the wrong you made. Yet here you are. Running across the worlds with a lost child in tow. Ignoring the families you've destroyed and killed. Ignoring the blood on your hands. Ignoring your responsibility of your own Sins. Ignoring your very own words." Matzavah says in a calm, gentle tone. As Matzavah speaks, Galdur's face twists and contorts into one of regret and despair. Matzavah drops a bag of silver coins on the table. "In this bag are thirty pieces of pure Silver. Roughly equal to three hundred gold coins. Consider This my final attempt at a peaceful solution." Galdur's eyes open wide in both shock and horror as he sees the bag of silver on the table. "If you take this, it'll be over. The Arcana will leave you be. The elves will leave you be. You can return home a rich, happy man. All you need to do is take the bag and leave the girl. Not even the gem. The girl will be enough." Matzavah says with a smile. Rodet doesn't move as images flood his mind. A demonic being in one flash of light. The bag of silver in another. The last one being of a man planting a kiss on another man's cheek. Rodet is broken out of it as Pocu grabs onto his hand. Rodet looks over to the confused and nervous Pocu. "What's going on?" She asks as Rodet notices two small black spheres in her ears. He turns his head to Merkavah, and he is holding a book with Mana oozing from it. Rodet understands what happening standing up. He takes the bag of silver. Matzavah smiles but suddenly the throws the bag at her. "No." He simply says taking Pocus' hand and leaving the restaurant. Matzavah sighs. "Well, I'm a bit sad I couldn't end this peacefully. I truly didn't want to fight." She says to Merkavah, who seems to ignore her, "well we can finish our meal before I go after them. It's the least I may do for my elder." She happily says as she spins a knife in her hand.
