Ari
I'm not much a cook, never have been - but even I can't deny that I've outdone myself with this lasagne. Currently I have my target - I mean dinner date/employee - in the living room with a glass of wine and go to join her. I knew it was going to be a risk asking her to dinner so early on into knowing one another, but I've got my plans to put in place - and if a good fuck is where it's gonna end in order to gain her trust (and information) then so be it.
What surprises me is how grateful she is for the company, confiding that no one has ever cooked for her or taken her to dinner before. Guess that boyfriend of hers is a complete asshole then. These people have more money than sense, and of he's got a bounty out on her then it means he's not to be messed with. It's still not enough to figure her out though. She's a little flirty too in return to some of my more suggestive comments, more relaxed than last week when she was shying away and looking around.
She knows people are after her.
Who exactly are you Margot?
I'll soon get it out of her along with a few orgasms in the process, but for now I need to play my cards right so she plays right into my hands.
"I'll plate up, you take a seat". I gesture to the small table by the window that sports two chairs, and then get up and head back into the kitchen.
"Smells good". She says as i bring in the plates along with the salad and set them down.
I grin and sit across from her. "Can't promise it's anything to shout about, but I try".
She picks up her cutlery. "Let's face it, it looks better than the shit I had to buy from vending machines for the last few weeks". Cutting into it, she takes a bite. "Yeah...miles better", and now seems a little shy as she admits this.
I look at her with some pity. "Had it rough?"
"Yeah..." She trails off. "Guess you could kinda say that".
"Hey, not my place to pry remember. But you're safe here. I just get the feeling that you're doing more than just hitchhiking for the hell of it".
I know she is.
Margot pauses after swallowing another mouthful of lasagne and then reaches for her glass of wine, the sip a little longer than the ones I've been watching her take this evening. "Let's just say I wasn't in the best of company back home. So I decided to leave and do better for myself. If I'd have stayed then it wouldn't have been good for me - and I didn't wanna be the person that I was".
Liar? Con artist? Trophy wife? C'mon sweetheart, you've gotta give me more to go on than this if I'm gonna be dragging you back there.
I smirk, "Much like my marriage was then". Lightening the mood between us easily.
"Did you leave, or did she? Jeez sorry!" She now laughs nervously, "I honestly didn't mean to ask that so bluntly".
I shake it off and stab at my food. "She was fed up with my crap. Last job I travelled for work and she couldn't really accept it". She was always trying to get me outta this life but I wasn't about to give up job after job that brought us money and food on the table. "So I left and she sent me the papers to sign".
