CHAPTER FIVE:
DELUSIONS !

- IT'S BEEN a few months since spider-man passed away, I even attempted to try and attend his funeral but that didn't go well. so, I honestly just stayed to myself and talked to miles from time to time but I never talked to Nico, not after what he did.

And now I'm hearing that he cut his hair? he's got this new haircut which is in a much shorter style and in dreadlocks? I don't know..but I know he probably still has those green undertones in his hair.

It was cold at the moment as I made my way to the cemetery, the snow melting just a little. I paid it no mind as I walked to peter's grave.

That's when I squinted my eyes as I recognized the familiar sneakers- was that miles? I immediately made my way over to him, he doesn't even turn to me as he stares down at the grave which was surrounded by flowers.

"I wish we could've learned more about him. we would've been the best sidekicks, right?" I asked while turning my attention to miles, trying to lighten the mood.

Miles felt a small smile tug at the corner of his lips before nodding slightly. "Yeah..I just wish I could've done something to prevent his death, y'know?" he says in reply.

I nodded while interlocking my fingers with his. "there's nothing we could've done to stop it- I mean that dude was larger than us and could easily snap us in half if he wanted."

Miles chuckles and so do I as I nudged his shoulder playfully. after I did that I turned back to stare at the grave which had flowers surrounding it.

"hey. Is there anything I missed?" I heard a familiar voice behind us, I turned around to get a good look at who it was and I furrowed my eyebrows.

Nico? oh so now he just suddenly appears and decides to talk to us? nah, that's not how this works- most definitely not.

"Why are you here?" I asked with irritation while crossing my arms and glaring slightly. "cause if I remember you went and ran off somewhere and didn't contact me nor miles for days- actually months. and now you suddenly appear?"

Nico sighs from my reaction and shrugs while rubbing his eyebrows out of frustration. "I'm just here to pay my respects, that's it. not to argue."

"Should've thought about that before you left us.." miles suddenly spoke while crossing his arms, we don't even notice the person coming up behind us.

Nico looks taken aback by miles change in tone as he tilts his head and bit his lip anxiously. "I'm not about to fuss right now. so let's just drop this topic, alright?"

"Drop the topic? Nico where were you when miles injured himself? huh?" I asked angrily while keeping my gaze towards Nico.

Nico doesn't answer, he went to say something until someone touched his shoulder which caused him to yelp out of surprise, "Ah!" when the person touched his shoulder somehow his reflexes acted quickly and I saw a green flash which knocked the guy backwards.

"Ahh!" I heard the guy shout and I immediately ran to his limp body in the snow. I kneeled down beside him to check his pulse, miles doing the same.

Nico was yanked forward by the man's web and slid across the snow- hitting face first and in the process he got some snow in his hair, Miles reached over to help him up.

Slowly lifting his head up his eyes go wide in fear. "what did I do to him? is he okay?!" Nico whisper shouts and I just shrugged in reply.

Both me, nico, and miles spidey-sense went off. somehow, our spidey-sense were connected.
