I smooth out my shirt before stepping in to the living. I let out a shaky breath before Carl and I walk to his house hand in hand.

We just sat down to eat, tonight we're having baby back ribs, baby corn, and bowled potatoes, the small kind. What's going on?

We just finished eating and Rick and Jessie have been whispering to each other. Suddenly, Jessie stands up along with her husband. Rick and Jessie got married about three months ago." We have an announcement to make." Jessie started, and then Rick finished." I've decided that I'm going to adopt my step children." I smiled so big and before I looked over at Carl, he seemed happier than I was. I leaned over towards Carl and whispered something," Shall we tell them?" I asked/whispered. He nodded and we stood with a smile," Um, we actually have something to announce to, well two things." Carl started, I announced the first thing," I'm pregnant." I said in a hurry. Then, Carl and I finished together," We're getting married." I can't believe the look on Rick's face! He looked so mad," Look, your not getting married. I will not give you my approval, and Tia, your getting an abortion weather you like it or not. I will not have you being a teen mother, your not even married and your not getting married till your at least eighteen." Rick pretty much just tolled me how to live my life. I shook my head," No, you are NOT my father, Rick. I don't have to get an abortion, and if it means I have to raise this baby with Carl unmarried then so be it. Then we'll have a broken family, just like I did." I grab my purse and begin leaving. I stopped short, pulled some files out of my purse, and through them on the table." Those are all about my family. Some court documents about custody, some are pictures of my broken family, some of my moms house, some of my dad's house, and some of my grandparents and I's house. There all about my broken family though. Oh, and one file is of when officer Shane arrested my mother and officer Rick Grimes picked me up and brought me to my grandparents house, it was the day that we met, the day that I met your son." I turned away and left, tears streaming down my face.
