"Amelia, come on we have to go to class" Esther says.
"Go ahead, I will do one more lap, and join you" I say.
"Just one more lap, today we have a history test, and we can't be late" Esther says, I nod as I put the swimming googles on, and jump into the water.
"Are you ready for the qualifying round?" Esther asks.
"Ready? I have been training for this moment all my life, I am beyond ready" I answer as I walk facing my friends.
"Do you have any idea what winning the qualifying round will do? I will get to participate in a international competition, I win the international competition, and I have a one way ticket into the Elareudland national swimming team, next thing you know, Amelia is going to the olympics" I say, Esther laughs.
"You always dreaming big" Esther says "If you don't dream big, don't bother trying" I say as I turn, carelessly turning, because I just crashed with someone.
"I am sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going" I say as I stand up.
"You should be sorry, you got dirt on my shoe" a very familiar voice says, I look at the face of my victim, and of course, I had to crash with Prince Maximilian, he smiles.Creep! Why is he smiling? I swear there is something wrong with this guy.
"Lick my shoe, until is clean" Prince Maximilian orders, I laugh "Yeah, not going to happen" I say as I walk pass him.
"You better get back here" Prince Maximilian snaps at me,
"Or what?" I ask, he tips his head aside.
"How dare..." "I am so sorry, I would love to stay and hear the "How dare you talk to me like that" speech, your highness, but I have a class I have to get to, so I am going to go, I promise I will get back to you" I say as I bow and start to walk away.
"If you keep looking for trouble with Prince Maximilian, I don't think you will ever make the national team" Esther says as we watch Prince obnoxious walk away.
"I hate him so much, he always on my way" I say.
"Or you are always in his, because you were the one walking backwards" Margaret says
"Exactly, don't blame you clumsiness on Prince Max" Mary adds .
"Oh, I kind of forgot the Obnoxious defense team where with us" I say, Mary and Margaret roll their eyes as we go on with our path to history class.
GIRL'S LOCKER ROOMS, 6:30 PM
**Phone rings** "Mother" I answer.
"Are you don with your swimming practice?" Mom asks.
"Yes" I answer.
"Good, I need you to make a quick stop in John's restaurant, pick up dinner, watch your brother, make sure he does his homework and he is in bed by 9, I have to work late" Mom says, I sigh.
"Dad went missing again, didn't he?" I ask
"Yes, he has, and I have to keep covering his shifts at work, we really cannot afford to have him losing his job" Mom answers.
"Don't worry, Mom, I will pick dinner up and watch Arnold" I say
"Lawrence, I have finally found you, gambling again? Isn't enough for you the huge debt you got us in" Mom says
I look at the phone, my father is n deep, deep, trouble this time.
I grab my bag and head to the bicycle parking lot "Hey, Amelia" Ester calls, I look at her.
