In my experience, warm baths accompanied by some yoga to increase bloodflow for the abdominal muscles and the digestive tract is less likely to have trouble. It works really well, but Relaxation is key. If you're not breathing deeply, yoga won't work. If you don't enjoy yoga, warm baths are great even alone. But don't worry, you don't need to do any crazy poses upside down or anything advanced if you've never tried it before. Poses such as Puppy dog, baby and dead bug, really help.
