Hades and Thanatos have been giving Maria lessons on how people talk in this century and the history she missed.

Nico's Pov
It was late at night and I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to bother Will by waking him up so I left quietly grabbing a bag of extra clothes, my sword, and some other things. I headed to the practice arena. I practiced for a while then I grabbed my bag and headed to the Hades's cabin showers. I started showering, I heard a quiet teleporting sound "Niccolo." A voice said behind me. "Thanatos  you may be allowed to see my Papa in the shower but not me. If you want to talk wait at my cabin and let me shower in peace," I said growling aggravated. I heard another quiet teleporting sound signaling he was gone. I sighed. After I was finished I got quickly dressed grabbed my bag and headed to the Hades cabin. I quietly opened and closed the door. I saw Thanatos waiting in the corner of my cabin. I rolled my eyes with my arms crossed and walked towards him. "Your boyfriend is pretty," Thanatos said quietly. "I know that why are you here?" I asked quietly to not wake up Will but still in an aggravated tone. Thanatos sighed. "I know where your Mother is," Thanatos said quietly. "What?!?!" I slightly yelled. "Nico?" A quiet voice said from the other side of the room. I quickly walked over to my bed where I see Will's eyes slightly open. "Tutto va bene Sole torna a letto." I said softly as I had my hand on his shoulder. Translate Italian to English 'Everything is fine Sunshine go back to bed.' Thanatos soon came over and put one of his fingers on Will's forehead. A small grey light came out of his finger and Will when motionless. "What the fuck did you do to him?" I whispered shouted. "I made it so that he wouldn't wake up during our conversation. Don't worry he will wake up in the morning just like usual." Thanatos said. I growled at him as I tugged Will's motionless body back under the covers. I grabbed Thanatos by the arm and dragged him away back to the corner. "What did you mean when you said you knew where my Mother was? She wasn't in the Underworld I have already checked she's gone completely she was destroyed by Zeus." I asked and said. "There is a special part of the Underworld where people go if they were killed by a God that wasn't me. Only two people know of its existence one being myself and the other being your Father Hades. I often see Hades have weekly visits with your mother. I sometimes visit her occasionally," Thanatos said softly. I was completely pissed. "If he knew she was in the Underworld then why didn't he tell me." I slightly said with a soft raised voice. I had small tears forming in the corners of my eyes but I refuse to let them fall. Thanatos softly sighed as he put a hand on my shoulder. "He had his reasons most of the time I will never know what's going on inside of his head fully Nico," Thanatos said softly. I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. "Take me to see her now!" I said with a slightly raised voice. Thanatos simply nodded as he put a hand on my shoulder and teleported us to the Underworld. After we arrive he let go of my shoulder. We were in a part of the Underworld I didn't recognize.  We stood in front of an off-limits part of the Underworld. It was a watch tower that stood between Thanatos and Hades areas. Thanatos walked into the watch tower and I followed behind him. There was a spiral staircase. We walked down the staircase then we stopped on the final floor. There stood a door. Thanatos walked through the door and I followed after him. We kept on walking till we stop in front of a gate. Thanatos opened the gate and I followed behind him. There were many different types of houses in the area. We stopped in front of a 1930s Italian-style house. It was a dark red with black and grey accents. I looked towards him for confirmation that this is the house my Mother is staying at. He softly nodded with a small smile on his face. I slowly walked up to the door nervous and excited to see my mother again. I knocked on the door. After a few minutes, the door opened. She looked exactly how I remember her from my dreams of the past before the Lotus Hotel events. She has her same 1930s clothes. Her tanner olive skin was still glowing and alive-like. Her dark brown eyes were glimmering with life. Her dark brown-black hair was still wavey and curly as ever. I softly smiled. "Hades is that you why do you look so different?" She asked politely with a 1930s Italian-Amerian accent. "Mamma.." I said softly with tears in the corners of my eyes. Her eyes widen in realization. "Niccolo..?" She said softly scared to be wrong and right at the same time she had tears in her eyes. "It's me, Mamma," I said softly. Tears fell down her face as she hugged me. I hugged her back with tears falling down my face. It was the first time in a long time that I cried. I didn't cry for Bianca's death because I was too blinded by anger towards Percy. We let go of the hug. "Niccolo I'm so glad to see you! Are you dead?" Mother said and asked. "I'm not dead just visiting Thanatos brought me here." I said. Mother then ran out of the house towards Thanatos and hugged him. He awkwardly hugged her back. They then let go of the hug and Mother said something to him which I presumed was a thank you for bringing me here. Then she ran back inside the house dragging me inside with her. She sat in one of the armchairs while I was sitting on the couch beside her. "How are you doing? How is Bianca? Did you make friends? Are you in a relationship yet?" Mother asked rapid-fire questions. I softly smile at her excitement. "I'm doing fine and yes I made friends." I said. "How's Bianca then?" Mother asked.  I sighed sadly. "Mamma Bianca died and chose rebirth. She died protecting her friends" I said softly. "I always knew she would die as a hero protecting people she cared about." Mother said with a sad smile. We stayed quiet for a few minutes before anyone spoke. "Let's not dwell on her death she is alive somewhere else happy she wouldn't want us to be sad." I said trying to lighten up the atmosphere. "You're right there is still one question you haven't answered are you in a romantic relationship with anyone?" Mother asked with a grin. "Mamma!" I slightly yelled blushing. "Ahah so there is someone!" Mother said with a smirk. "You wouldn't be happy with me if I tell you." I said softly looking away from her. "Try me I can handle it." Mother said confidently. I deeply sighed I turned back towards her. "I have a boyfriend his name is Willaim Solace he is the son of Apollo." I said wait for her to insult me but it never came. I hear her squealing. I was coufused. "You have a boyfriend that's amazing!? What's he like?! Does he treat you well?! Do you get along?!" Mother said and asked excitedly. "You're not disgusted with me?" I asked. "What no why would I be?!" Mother asked just as confused as I was. "Because in the time we are from it's is seen as so bad people get prosecuted and murdered for it." I said. Mother had a sad look on her face. "Baby I don't care who you love as long as they are good to you. You can be with whoever you want." Mother said with a soft smile. I hugged her as she quickly hugged me back.  "I love you so much, Mamma!" I said. Mother stroke my hair. "I love you so much as well my Piccolo Angelo." Mother said softly. Translate Italian to English 'Little Angel.' We let go of the hug. "I will see you again when I can." I said as we walked towards the front door. "I will be happy waiting for your visit." Mother said with a smile. I walked towards Thanatos. "Are you ready to leave the Underworld?" Thanatos asked. "You can leave if you want. I want to have a chat with my Father." I said. Thanatos gave me a look I didn't quite understand then he nodded teleporting away. I shadow-traveled to my Father's throne. I didn't care if there were others around us. "You Father of my are a lying bitch." I slightly yelled with a raised voice. I noticed the guards were ready to attack while Persephone was slowly standing up ready to turn me into a plant. But Father stayed calm. "I want everyone out of the throne room I want to talk to my son privately." Father said. The guards left the throne room but Persephone stayed. "I said everyone Persephone that is including you." Father said. "But-" Persephone was cut off. "Now." Father said sternly. Persephone pouted as she stomped out of the throne room slamming the doors shut. Father turned human size as he stood infront of me. "Now Niccolo I assumed you found out about something you were not supposed to." Father said calmly. "You fucking lied you said Mamma wasn't in the Underworld!" I yelled. Father sighed. "I figure you would find out from Thanatos eventually. Did you have a nice time speaking to your Mother?" Father said and asked softly. "Yes I did but that doesn't execute the fact that you lied to me!" I shouted. Father softly smiled. "Your stubbornness reminds me of someone." Father said gently. I rolled my eyes. "I know I get my stubbornness from you." I said. "That's not who I was talking about. Why it is truth that you get half of your stubbornness from me but the other half you get from your Mother. She was either equally stubborn or more stubborn than I am." Father said he had a small smile. "Really?" I said. "Yes, she really was. A few days before her death. I warned her that Zeus would come to try to kill her. But she told me she was not going to run away and hide from Zeus. The day of her death she knew Zeus was already in the building. She told me to use her to distract Zeus so I could bring you and Bianca somewhere safe. I tried to talk her out of it but she wasn't having it and insisted her top priority is to make should the three of us get out safely. She sacrifice herself that day and died a hero to protect us." Father said with a small sad smile. I was speechless. "She told me that she didn't want the two of you to know she was in the Underworld or you would never leave your lives in the past and start a brighter happier future." Father said. I hugged him and he hugged me back. We stayed like that for a few minutes. I then remembered Will. I quickly let go of the hug. Then so did Father soon after. "We should visit her together sometime." I said. "She would like that." Father said. "I got to go before someone noticed I'm missing bye!" I said shadow-traveling to camp. I shadow-traveled into Poseidon's cabin accidentally. Where Jason and Percy were making out. Percy jumped in surprise stopping the make-out session. "Nico where have you been you were gone all day?!" Percy slightly shouted concerned. Both Jason and Percy were looking at me. "I was in the Underworld taking care of things." I said. "You should go check on Will he was freaking out all day because he couldn't find you anywhere." Jason said. I nodded as I shadow-traveled to Will. He was sitting in the corner of my cabin silently. I let my footsteps be heard. "Get out Kayla I'm not in the mood." Will said. "I thought you would be happy to see me." I said. Will quickly turn around and smile then he frowns. "Where have you been? I have been looking all over camp for you." Will said and asked standing up. He then hugged me. I hugged him back then we stopped hugging. "Thanatos came by late last night about something in the underworld. I had to deal with it I didn't realize I was gone for so long. I'm sorry." I said. Will hugged me again and I hugged him back. "I'm just happy you're okay." Will said. "So am I." I said hugging him closer.
