CSI: So... ummmm. Hi. My writing break has not ended but I've been lurking for a bit now and I just want to round the number of published chapters out.

WHEN THE METAL MAN'S SUIT FLIES AWAY FROM HIM, Casey sucks in a breath, watching as he approaches her. She waits for him to shout at her and tell her she isn't supposed to be her, maybe hit her for following along. But he doesn't. Instead, he crouches, now at Casey's level instead of towering over her. His mask lifts off what she'd previously assumed was his robot face, though she sees now is a second suit. She isn't sure why he needs two suits, but she doesn't ask, too focused on staring at his face.

He looks fairly old, but not too much so. He could be youngish, she thinks, and the lines on his face are simply from stress. A few dark brown hairs sit at the edges of his face, almost hidden beneath the rest of the helmet. Around his mouth is an odd beard in the same dark brown.

"Where are your parents, kid?" He asks. Casey wonders why people always ask this; it's not like she's needed parents before, so why does everyone seem to think she needs them all of a sudden? Maybe it's a normal thing and she's the odd one. Casey shrugs her shoulders, eyes veering over to the unconscious green man. She wonders if he's okay, though her attention is brought sharply back to the not-so-metal man as he speaks. "Where did you last see them, then?"

Again, Casey answers with a simple shrug. She knows to just let him ask all his questions. He might try and take her with him, though she isn't sure whether she will like she went with Robin's mother. She'll have to think about it some more first.

"Okay, not talkative. Do you live nearby?" He sounds like he's stalling, Casey thinks. Still, she shakes her head. She doesn't live anywhere.

A strange contraption landing behind the man catches her attention. He seems to notice her shift in attention as his head turns as her gaze moves. A ramp descends at the bottom of the machine and a man with long blonde hair walks down it, he has a long red cape and weird a weird grey costume. He walks to the green man and picks him up with ease and takes him back to the ship.

Casey furrows her brows at the sight, not taking her eyes from the contraption. The not-so-metal man rises to his feet.

"C'mon, kid." He says. Her head snaps toward him, hair whipping around from the fast movement. Her eyes flicker with something close to fear. "You got two options; come with me, or stay with these guys." He gestures around them and Casey finally notices the soldiers still around them. They hold guns, though they're lowered. Casey's heart starts to beat rapidly and her hands start to shake. The man's eyes widen, like he knows what's happening. Casey doesn't like that. She doesn't even know what's going on, and she doesn't want someone else to know before she does herself.
