Cindy was currently getting ready for work at CCPD in the morning, searching for both her badge and her boots while Cisco was eating breakfast.

"Cisco, have you seen my boots or my badge?" Cindy asked her boyfriend.

"Your badge is on our dresser and check under the bed for your boots." Cisco said without looking up from his tablet, which he was using to read Iris's latest article on the Flash.

"And where's my gun that I know you haven't been playing with again?" Cindy asked, shaking her head as once again she wondered if she was dating Cisco or raising him, since while she loved her boyfriend, she also knew how immature he could be.

"You mean the new Mercury Labs prototype pulse pistol that I'm letting you test out before we officially market it?" Cisco reminded her, since he'd arranged for Cindy to be the beta tester for Mercury Labs' new line of law enforcement products, since with the new influx of metahumans Central City had been dealing with since the Star Labs particle accelerator had exploded, Mercury Labs had been working around the clock to develop new technologies to help the police keep up. Though it was still an uphill battle, since the police were still struggling to keep the criminals in check, since they couldn't compete with powers. Though now that the Flash and his team had arrived, hopefully the tables would turn.

"Very funny dear. But seriously, where is it?" Cindy asked.

"It's charging since you always forget to plug it in before you go to bed no matter how many times I remind you to." Cisco said, since Cindy's pulse pistol was like a cell phone in the sense that it needed to be charged every night.

"Well I'm still getting used to having a gun I need to plug in every night." Cindy said as she grabbed her boots from under their bed before grabbing her badge and finally grabbing her gun from its charger before sliding it into its holster before turning back to her boyfriend to see what he was reading.

"You're reading another article about that Flash guy?" Cindy asked and Cisco sighed, since he and Cindy had this argument more than once.

"I know how you feel about vigilantes, but this guy is a genuine hero. I mean he saved about a dozen people from a fire in a burning building in nearly a minute." Cisco said.

"And what are the odds that he only did that for the headline? Honestly, all this Flash guy seems like is some showboat who's only in it for the glory. He doesn't care about saving people like cops or firefighters do." Cindy said.

"I don't get it. You're a Superman fan, something that I've sworn will never leave this apartment, and he acts the same way as this Flash guy does, but you don't distrust him like that." Cisco asked.

"Superman has had time to prove himself to the world. Not to mention, he's an alien, not a meta and you know how I feel about metas considering what that meta Rawlins did." Cindy said, referring to one of the many metahuman criminals who'd been terrorizing Central City since the explosion. The one she was talking about in this case was Mille Rawlins, who the media had dubbed Sunshine due to her powers regarding sunlight, but anyways, Rawlins had attacked Cindy's father, who like her, had been a cop and had been investigating criminal activities regarding a gang called the Aranas and while her father had survived the attacked, he'd been forced to retire early due to his injuries.

"I know what Rawlins did to your dad is unforgivable, but did it ever occur to you that not all metas like her?" Cisco asked, even though he knew it was futile.

"I'm sorry Cisco, but it's going to take more than just some words to convince me that not all metahumans are bad. My dad is still in rehab from what Rawlins did to him. My mom said that he's only just started walking again." Cindy said, since her father was currently at one of the top rehab facilities in the country out in Coast City.

"Fair enough. But anyways, instead of focusing on a metahuman who hasn't done anything to prove he's a threat, maybe you could at least focus your energy on the metas who are." Cisco said.

"Fair enough." Cindy said, right as her phone buzzed and she saw it was a text from Joe, telling her to get to a crime scene asap.

"And it looks like my day has begun before I can even get coffee." Cindy said.

"You really think I'd let you leave without the only thing that lets you classify yourself as human each day?" Cisco asked with a chuckle, as he handed her a to-go mug, filled with her favorite coffee.

"Thanks. I'll see you tonight." Cindy said as she kissed his cheek before walking as Cisco chuckled about how some things never changed, since just like in the old reality, this Cindy was also obsessed with coffee.
