Not A Happy Day At All

Chapter 6

Lenny was very surprised to be hugged by his sister and then immediately after find out she was going on a date with his best friend.

Carrie just dropped that bombshell on him and headed out, only responding to his questioning texts with random emojis until he gave up.

Laney wasn't performing at the gig that night but he still went for the others.

And Carrie still wouldn't say anything, but she promised to be good.

He didn't see much of them for the rest of the night.

The next day, Lenny was woken by Kin calling and asking him to meet up with the rest of the guys for some science thing.

Since he wouldn't be getting any more sleep, he just got up and got ready.

The silence in the house was weird, since Carrie was usually there by now.

He headed to Laney's room and just sauntered in, expecting to see the blue haired girl, but nothing.

And his sister was still asleep, also weird since her alarm would have woken her by now.

Speaking of, it was blaring and she still wasn't waking.

"Laney. Hey, you're gonna be late, come on."

Nothing, she didn't even stir.

Lenny sighed and shook her a little.

Still nothing.

He walked over to the other side of the bed to face her, and that was when he realised...

She wasn't breathing.

There was vomit in her mouth.

She'd suffocated on her own vomit in her sleep.

She was dead.

Lenny choked out a sob as he quickly backed away.

"What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck!?"

He ran back to his room and grabbed his phone, frantically calling for help even if it was too late.

Anger was slowly starting to rise too.

'Carrie, whatever you've done to my sister, I'll make you pay...'

Over at the Beff house, Mina finally had enough of hearing her sister's alarm going off and not being turned off.

"Come on, Carrie, there's no way you're still asleep-"

She wasn't asleep, she was dead.

Choked on her own vomit.

"Oh god...Carrie!"

Despite it being useless, Mina still tried to save her sister.

She called for help and explained the situation and tried to bring Carrie back to life even if it was useless.

And she only gave up when she was physically pulled away from the body.

Later, when the cause of death was revealed, Mina cried even harder.

It was the poison she put in the cupcake, it killed her sister.

When she found out Laney had also died, she threw up.

She was full of grief and guilt, two people had died because of her.

One of them was her sister.

"I don't understand how this happened!" Lenny sobbed. "Who would do this!?"

Mina couldn't hold it in.

"I have to tell you something..."

It was going to cost her everything she had left, but it didn't matter to her.

Carrie had died because of her.

She'd spend the rest of her life wishing she was dead instead.
