When the lights were back on, Kin was back to getting his device ready.
But Lenny's scream made them all freeze.
"Lenny? Dude?" Corey called.
No response.
The three all agreed to check it out, but grabbed weapons.
Kin took his keyboard.
Kon took his drumsticks (the ones he uses to play drums, his edible drumsticks were left behind).
Corey took his bass, which for some reason he brought with him.
He led them to the place of the scream, and they readied their weapons for attack.
Only to find something much more horrific.
"Lenny!"
"Holy shit, dude!"
"He's dead!"
Yes, Lenny was very much dead.
Kon threw up somewhere nearby.
Corey held it down, just barely, and reached for his phone in his pocket.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"Our friend's been murdered."
Kin made the call none of them wanted to make.
"Laney? Uh...you're gonna have police at your door, I'm so sorry."
She screamed and sobbed and cursed and he took it all and listened.
Finally, she asked where they were.
She showed up after the police did, as they were taping off the area and had covered the body.
Lenny's body.
Laney broke and fell to her knees at the sight, hands covering her mouth as she sobbed.
Then Carrie was there with Kim and Konnie, parking the car as fast as possible and running out.
"No! No no no, please no!" She sobbed.
Her best friend was dead.
Somehow in the middle of all this, Kim found time to pull Kin aside.
"What the hell did you do?" she asked, barely containing her own grief.
As far as she knew, whatever had been going on led to one of her closest friend's death.
Kin blamed himself for the whole thing anyway, so he told her.
If he hadn't have gone against what she said not to do, Lenny would still be alive.
Laney never forgave him and he doesn't blame her.
The band fell apart and broke up, both bands actually.
Kin only had his brother by his side now, if that would even last any longer.
(A/N: DONE! And it's 1am for me lmao)
