The boats have arrived at Wall Rose, refugees were in a frenzy as Garrison soldiers led them inside. (Y/n) held Eren and Mikasa's hand, trying to find shelter. They found an abandoned warehouse and sat together. Armin's grandpa went to get food for them, (Y/n) doesn't need it since she knew there might be a shortage, considering majority of humanity was pushed into Wall Rose. She glanced at Eren, a dead look in his eyes.

"Eren! Mikasa! (Y/n)!" They turned to Armin, who carried four loafs of bread, "My grandpa told them he had kids to look after. Here"

(Y/n) took the loaf of bread, glancing at the Garrison soldier who stared at them with disgust

"It would have been better if the Titans ate more people. Look at them, taking our food!" One soldier said. (Y/n) noticed two men fighting for food and rolled her eyes. Those men had enough fat for them to survive for a few days. Eren glared at the soldier angrily, running up to him and kicking him in the shin

"Ow! You brat!" The soldier was about to punch Eren, until (Y/n) swiftly caught it, squeezing till she heard his bones slightly cracked. He yelled out in agony. The crowd watched silently as (Y/n) glared at the Garrison soldier with a death look in her eyes. It made shivers go down his spine, a bead of sweat trailing down his forehead.

"You're a disgrace as a Garrison soldier! How dare you try to hit a child!? Your job is to protect citizens, not abuse them! I am disgusted that you would dare say you wished the titans killed more people! You're  no better then than them if you can utter those words!" (Y/n) spat venomously. The Garrison soldier was speechless, embarrassed, and angry. Before he can say anything, (Y/n) ushered the trio away.

They sat in the warehouse as Eren stared at the loaf of bread, "How can they say that when they haven't even seen what titans can do!?" Eren was about to throw the bread away until (Y/n) stopped him.

"Eren!"

"I'm going to Wall Maria, to kill all the titans!" Eren growled.

"What are you saying Eren!? That's your stomach talking!" Armin argued

"It's not! Doesn't it bother you!? We can't win if we depend on them! We have to stand on our own!" Eren yelled

(Y/n) watched as the two argued back and forth, before finally having speaking up, "Enough! You two need to stop fighting, it'll get us no where! Right now, your mother tasked me with taking care of you three! I promised her I would make sure you would survive! That's my only priority right now!" (Y/n) sternly said, looking at all three of them as looked down in shame. Taking the loaf of bread Eren was going to throw away, she broke a small piece and put it in front of his mouth, "Eat! Now!" Eren stared at the bread with glossy eyes before opening his mouth as (Y/n) fed him gently. Tears slowly escaping his eyes as (Y/n) wiped them away softly

"Don't cry. I'm here aren't I?" (Y/n) softly said, ruffling Eren's chocolate locks.

After calming down, they all sat together in silence.

"What was that from before, (Y/n)?" Mikasa asked. (Y/n) sighed, knowing the topic was going to come out eventually. Armin looked at her and Mikasa in confusion. Eren also perked up, wanting to know as well.

"You have powers!?" Eren asked, making (Y/n) slap her hand over his mouth, muffling his noises

"Quiet! I'll explain, but you have to keep it a secret. Okay? No one can know." The trio nodded. (Y/n) slowly removed her hand from Eren's mouth. The trio sat in front of (Y/n), staring up at her.

(Y/n) sighed, "Alright, I have powers." She bluntly said, making them confused. "I can levitate or fly, use advanced telekinesis, create psionic shields and shoot destructive energy sparks or waves." The trio didn't seem to understand what those words mean.

"I don't understand" Armin said, Eren and Mikasa nodding in agreement.

(Y/n) looked around to make sure no one was around. After checking the coast was clear, she raised her hands, making the rocks around them float upwards around them. The trio gasped, as they watched the rocks float in mid-air. (Y/n) controlled the rocks with her hands, making them move around and do tricks. She dropped her hands, making the rocks fall to the ground.

"How did you do that!?" Eren asked in shock. Armin and Mikasa stared at (Y/n) with shock and wonder.

"What about the others!?" Armin asked, looking curious

"I don't really like to talk about how I got my powers. Levitation is when I have the ability to float or fly," The Shiganshina trio stared wide eyed, flying!?

"That's how you guys were able to get meat. I flew beyond the walls when no one was watching" They gasped at that. (Y/n) ventured out in Titan territory!? Eren seemed excited, along with Armin.

"So you've seen what the outside looks like!?" Armin asked excitedly. (Y/n) nodded her head, making them gasp in excitement.

"Have you seen the ocean!? What about the fiery lakes and snowfields of sand!?" Armin asked. (Y/n) nodded as she began to explain what she saw and even correcting them about the names. They listened as she spoke of the outside world they longed to see.

"Can you guys promise me you won't say anything?" (Y/n) asked them

"Why not?" Armin asked

"People fear what they don't understand. If they saw someone like me, they'll lock me or do worse. That's why usually when a person has powers, they keep it a secret. But I trust you guys enough to keep it to yourselves, okay?" They all nodded

Time Skip /////////////////////////

A few days later, all the refugees were put to plow the fields as last resort to grow crops. Unfortunately, it was futile. The refugees who were capable were sent out with some of the survey corps to try and reclaim Wall Maria. Armin's grandpa were one of them. (Y/n) knew it was a suicide mission. These refugees don't have any military training, they would all die by the hands of titans.

As Armin was saying goodbye to his last relative, (Y/n) was clenching her fists, feeling useless all of a sudden. It's not that she doesn't want to help, it's just, going out there in an open field with no objects around to use, (Y/n) wouldn't be able to save anyone. This dimension isn't fully developed, and she can't use her energy blasts, since it would be kind of destructive. She felt she failed as an avenger, a protector of humankind.

Of the 250,000 sent to reclaim Wall Maria, at least 20% of the population returned. Not even 200 people returned. Their sacrifice was pointless, even though it stopped the food shortage. (Y/n) felt so horrible for not doing anything. What would the Avengers say?

(Y/n) and the Shiganshina Trio sat behind a building. Armin held the hat that his grandfather had given him, tears escaping his eyes as he cried softly. (Y/n) cradled the small blond in her arms, whispering reassurances.

"Next year I'm gonna apply for the Survey Corps." Eren vowed. Mikasa also agreed

"Me too. I can't let you guys do this by yourself. I made a promise to your mother, Eren, and your grandfather," (Y/n) looked at Armin, "I won't let their sacrifices go to waste."

One Year Later

(Y/n) lined up with the other cadets, her arms in salute. It was weird for her, but she tried not to let it bother her.

"Straighten your backs! The 104th trainee camp begins now! My name is Commander Keith Shadis, and you will grow to despise me! Training will be like going to hell! When I'm done with you, you'll be having nightmares about this place! Right now you're nothing but live stock! Titan food! Within the next three years, you'll be learning the techniques to survive! Remember this moment when you come face to face, because you'll ask yourself if you're a fighter or bait! Are you gonna be the one who bites or not!?"
