“Picture, you're the queen of everything
As far as the eye can see,
Under your command.
I will be your guardian,
When all is crumbling,
Steady your hands.”
The Fray – Never Say Never
Harry lay in Bella’s bed once again with her sleeping on his chest. One of his arms ran up and down her arm while the other lay motionless on the exposed skin of her thigh under her shorts. He could lay like this for hours, watching her peacefully sleep in his arms, He had never felt so full of life, like he actually meant something to someone. He had never felt so strongly for anyone before Bella.
His thoughts had never been so jumbled up before, only because he never cared for anyone before. Everything was simple for him. Painful, but simple.
“What are you doing to me?” he asked rhetorically, watching her stir in her sleep.
Bella subconsciously reached around in her sleep for Harry’s hand. When she couldn’t find it, she started to panic. When Harry urgently brought his hand to hers, she gripped it tightly and intertwined their fingers, clutching to him as if her life depended on it. Harry brought their connected hands to his lips, softly kissing her hand. He heard Bella let out a large sigh, nudging her head deeper into his chest.
Bella spent the whole rest of the morning taking care of her helpless aunt, struggling to feed her, bathe her, and cloth her. When she finally put Aunt Kelly to bed, she almost collapsed from exhaustion. She shouldn’t be this active when she was just recently released from the hospital. Harry had made sure Bella ate, following the doctor’s orders, and they both lied down in her bed. It only took Bella a few minutes before she fatigue took over.
As much as he didn’t want to, Harry regretfully got up from Bella’s bed, gently placing her back under the covers and tucking her in. She uncomfortable stirred in her sleep, eyebrows furrowing at the loss of contact with Harry. Harry swiped away all the hairs from her face before placing a soft kiss to her forehead.
“Sleep tight, beautiful.”
With that, he grabbed his jacket from the chair in her room and made his way out of the house, unwillingly traveling to his own.
As his house came in sight, his body tensed and hear beat picked up. He noticed his jet black car was parked next to the all too familiar grey Range Rover. Harry slowly and nervously walked to his front door, preparing himself for what was to come.
His father was home.

The final bell for the day had rung, signaling school was out, and everyone was ready for the holiday weekend. Everyone was running around the halls, excited that Friday had come around so quickly.
But for Bella, the week couldn’t have gone by any slower.
That Saturday was the last time she had saw Harry. One moment she was cuddled up in his arms, the next she was screaming and trembling from yet another nightmare. She turned to Harry for comfort, but soon found out he was not there.
And she hasn’t seen him or heard from him since.
Bella had thought about going over to his house, checking to see if he was alright. Or if he was even there. But every time she tried, she would only get as far as about 30 feet away, a bad feeling always erupting in her stomach. So she just left it.
But today was the last straw. She was angry with him. Angry that this wasn’t the first time this has happened. Angry that he can be so comforting and loveable at one point, then annoying and MIA the next. Not only that, but she was growing weak without Harry. She had missed his husky voice, his soft touch with his rough hands, his warmth when she was in his arms, the way her heart beat picked up when they were particularly close. She was going to get to the bottom of this. And she knew just who to ask.
