“And make sure she eats a good meal every day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I swear to God if I come back and she has dropped a pound, I’ll have your balls on a silver platter, got it?”

Harry was just about to set off for the States, with the van parked out front and everyone lined up to say their goodbyes to Harry, Zayn, and Niall. Louis and Liam were two of Harry’s best men, which is the reason why he left them behind to take care of Bella.

Now, Harry was antagonizing Louis and throwing everything he could possibly think of when it came to Bella in Louis’ direction. Louis seemed a little overwhelmed, but was successful at hiding it from Harry just in case he worried too much and called off the whole plan.

“Yeah, mate, I got it. You’ve only said it about fifteen times. Sixteen if you could that one.”

Suddenly Harry was in Louis face. However, Louis didn’t see anger, but only the slightest bit of desperation.

“She’s my whole life, Louis.” Harry murmured, “Leaving her behind is already killing me enough. Please…. just…. don’t let anything happen to her.”

Louis placed a hand on Harry’s shoulder and gave him a reassuring squeeze. Louis felt almost obligated to take care of Bella, for she has done so much for Harry that has brought him back to life, and he was forever grateful for that. When it came to protecting Bella, Harry didn’t need to tell him twice.

“I’ve got her, Harry.”

Harry shot Louis a look of gratitude and appreciation before moving to the spot where Bella stood with her quivering bottom lip in her mouth and watery green eyes. She never would have thought that she would be crying over some body she has only know for a couple of months. He will only be gone for a week, but to Bella, a week without him felt like a lifetime.

Not even a second passed before Harry pulled her into his arms.

“It’ll go by quick, baby. I’ll be back before you know it.”

Bella buried her face into his chest, breathing in his fresh scent, attempting to gather enough to last her the whole week Harry would be gone. She focused on the delicate touch of his fingers running up and down her back, and the steady beat of his heart that she would listen to every night, but now will not be able to for an entire week.

“I don’t even think you believe that yourself, Harry.” She murmured into his chest.

She felt his chest tense up for a moment before he let out a deep sigh and squeezed her tighter, planting a kiss on the crown of her head.

“We’ll get through it, angel.”

The sharp beep of the car horn broke the silence between the two. This was really it. In a million years, Bella never would have thought she would be standing in front of one of the most wanted men in the UK, and be hopelessly in love with him. But she is, and she does. And there is nothing that she would change about the situation.

Harry took her face in his hands and wiped away the stray tears.

“Please don’t cry. It’s making it a lot harder to leave you.”

“You’re not leaving me.” Bella whimpered, her uneven breathing interfering with her speech, “You’re going to come back.”

“Of course I am, baby.” Harry brought his face close to hers so they were only inches apart, speaking so only she could hear, “Remember at the graveyard when I said I could never leave you behind?”

Bella nodded, now unable to control the tears from falling.

“Always remember that. You’re my little angel. I’m always going to come back for you. Capeesh?”
