All that could be heard throughout the entire car ride was the rumbling of the engine and a faint melody flowing through the speakers. Harry’s eyes remained fixed on the road, afraid that if he made one wrong move, then she would be out of his life. Just like that. And he couldn’t let that happen.

Both Bella’s head and heart were pounding with a mixture of pain and nerves. She had no idea where they were headed, and she could hardly wrap her head around the events that have already taken place today.

The moment she found the bag of drugs on the floor, she immediately realized that Harry has been holding out. There was so much she didn’t know about him; so much mystery in the boy she somehow trusted with her life. She understood that it was hard to admit to some things and to let it all out, simply from experience. But once she told him her secrets, their relationship got stronger, and they both grew closer. So why doesn’t Harry do the same that Bella did?

Of course, she knew the little things about him that only the girlfriend was supposed to notice. She knew that his favorite color was red, but he always wore black. She knew his eyebrows pulling together and his lips pouting meant that he was thinking hard, and that he hated the vein that popped out of his neck when he got heated. She knew he never liked to show emotion around other people. Emotion meant weakness, and he couldn’t afford weakness. He needed to be strong, be feared. That is what kept him on top, kept him apart from the rest. Why he needed to be this way? Bella had no idea.

She knew he had two different smiles, both extremely rare. He had one for when he was around his friends or when he saw something funny, and one he reserved especially for Bella. The smile where his dimples came out full force and he had that special glint in his eyes that she loved oh so much.

She felt as if she knew almost everything about Harry, yet nothing at the same time.

It was in that moment when she swore to herself she would get answers. Their relationship would never work based on secrets and lies, and Bella couldn’t bear to think about what would happen if this carried on, simply because she couldn’t bear to think about life without her boy. Just as much as Harry couldn’t bear to think about life without his baby girl. Bella craved to know everything about Harry as much as she craved his soft touch. She wanted, no, she needed answers, and Bella wouldn’t stop until she got them.

All of the thoughts buzzing around in her head made her more and more irritable, and Harry watched from the corner of his eyes as she fussed in her seat.

‘Just a little bit longer’ he thought to himself as he anxiously kicked up the speed by only five miles per hour.

But a little bit longer wouldn’t settle for Bella. Her head was about ready to explode, and she could feel the anger mixed with word vomit building up inside her. One of her hands fisted through her hair while the other remained in her lap with her nails digging into her jean clad thighs. This was it. Bella had reached her breaking point.

Harry jumped a little at the sound of Bella’s fist pounding on the arm rest, the only barrier between their two seats. He still didn’t look her way, though. His eyes remained focused on the road, but his heart beating a little bit faster than before.

“I’ve had enough, Harry.” Bella hissed, her gaze burning into the side of Harry’s head. “Where are you taking me?”

Harry gripped onto the wheel a little bit tighter, unable to control the anger that was bubbling up inside him, a natural instinct to anyone yelling at him. When he senses a threat, his body retaliates, and Harry can’t control it. “Baby, hold tight just a little longer.” He spoke breathlessly.

“I have been holding tight Harry! I’ve been holding tight since the day I met you!”

She knew something was wrong with him. By the way he pulled his lips into his mouth, she could sense he was holding back for her sake. But unfortunately, she couldn’t hold back any longer.
