The next day I have to head into school but Nexis was connected to my phone and some wireless earphones connected to it so we can talk.

"So how come both your parents have these... Quirks but you don't?" Nexis asks in class.

"Not sure, scientists barely have a small understanding of Quirks, like 60% of the time they're hereditary, similar, stronger, a combination or a rare mutation of a new Quirk unconnected to their parents. I could feel I never had a Quirk of my own, which I think is why I'm so intelligent" I answer under my breath.

"Right, a Quirk would need a certain amount of memory and processing power to work wouldn't it? But if both of your parents have Quirks, you have the Gene, so why not forcibly give yourself one?" Nexis asks.

"Until yesterday I'd planned Support Gear or that, a similar Quirk to my sister's Telekinesis based off my Intellect. But now? I think you an I can create some Augments to replicate a series of Quirks" I murmur back as I take a note from the board so as to avoid any 'Looking down on me' beatings.

"Any suggestions forme to work through a basic schematic of?"

"Monty's strength and a bone durability enhancement, Chica's voice box and a stomach and liver enhancement. Roxy's eyes and ears. And as a side project... Try finding ways to make Glitching something I can do in the real world" I finish and jot a few more notes down.

The day passes, the usual beatings, a few cuts, the obligatory Suicide Baits, and I went home to my garage.

I immediately look through what Nexis has put together based off what I requested.

And it's incredible... For a mechanic.

"This stuff is wonderful, well thought out... But I've been thinking more... Implant like, like a set of hearing aids that enhance my base hearing implanted in my body" I speak slowly, and demonstrate on a 3D Render of a human body what I'm talking about.

"Thee problem with that though Izuku, is the fact that Manipulation type Quirks could kill you" Nexis said, looking concerned.

"I realised that which is why I want to make a frequency emitter that'll make material Manipulation Quirks be unable to affect my space. Similar to those Inhibitor Nodes you used against Cassie"

The Avatar of Nexis on the monitor brought up come code and looked it over.

"Yes, that can be a potential idea... Or! We could make them out of phase with this layer of reality, that would even be easier!" Nexis pulled up a video file that began with a demonstration, he commentated as it played. "If we make the implants out of Phase with this reality, only the more absurd Quirks should be able to reach them since, if you think of it at Photo Editing program, you can only affect one layer at a time right?"

"Yeah?"

"If you can get me readings of various Manipulation Type Quirks I should be able to find a frequency to bring your Implants out of phase with their wavelengths. Rendering them obsolete"

A schematic was already being built before my eyes on the monitor.

"This is only a prototype but it should work, I'd suggest a... Telekinetic Quirk to test with, your Mother might work, touch your sister would be easier to piss off"

I grumble a bit but nod.

"And while I do that, you could try and hack some scientific databases to see if they've got similar readings" I answer, moving to my 3D printer and watching as it began rapidly constructing the shell.

I roll on my chair over to the work bench and grab the items Nexis tells me to.

Construction goes quickly as I bounce ideas back and forth with Nexis till I had the guts completed.
