Nexis removes the blind fold from my face, my skin feeling damp on the fresh air.

I feel cold metal fingers poke around at my eye sockets as Nexis uses X-Ray Vision to check the optical cord.

"All looks good, not even scar tissue remains Izuku, please open your new eyes"

I struggle for a moment since my eyes have been firmly shut for the last month.

But they open, the gunk I wipe away with a wet cloth and see the lounge room in extreme detail, and rather bright.

"Here" Nexis hands me some sunglasses I push on.

Everything darkens slightly and I wince.

"I can see the god damn paint as if I was right up against it, is it always that uneven?"

"Yes, but that's the rollers fault, not the painter"

I just nod as I get used to the lighting and remove the glasses, testing my peripheral vision to find I don't have one.

Everything is in perfect detail.

I look to the window and see a bird up in the air.

I zoom in on it, finding the act extremely intuitive and easy.

A Red-Tailed hawk, missing a claw but holding a fish in it's claws.

With barely a though my vision shifts and suddenly I can see the I sides of the hawk, wet and slimy pressed in all together. But also really cool.

I stop looking and focus on the ground outside, the cars are interesting to look at when moving because with my new ability to see in the peripheral I can watch in fascination at every part of the car moved in tandem to move.

It's a new level of beauty on top of what I already considered a beautiful construct of human ingenuity.

I return to normal vision and just sit in fascination.

"I understand why X-Ray Quirk users always end up in trouble in some way or other... That's a skill that's already egging me on to see more" My hands move to the table and I look at the next Augments we'd finished to the best of our ability with the technology we can get at this point in time.

A voice box as intricate as a human's, yet even more so as it's bullet, stab, slice, electricity, and temperature proof.

That's the next one and I'm worried.

Mostly because the voice box in in the throat and that's where I need to eat.

I've settled on a pipe inserted in my stomach to continue eating.

But a secondary pipe will be needed for my lungs, which are far more important than food.

But with the Voice Box will be another Augment that'll take two surgeries to complete.
