It was Family Day, a day that had slipped Brielle's mind until she woke up in a slight panic. She had planned something for the VKs for after Family Day but the deal was that she would have to sing with Ben. As she struggled out of bed and around her room in a rush, the VKs stirred and woke up. While Brielle was rushing into the bathroom to shower, Carlos and Mal groggily searched for her until they heard the shower running. "Why's she up so early?" Jay groaned sleepily.
"Today is Family Day guys," Evie reminded, "She has to perform with Ben." The others nodded understandingly before also getting out of bed. It was normal for all of them to sleep in the same bed. Although they never did anything sexual, they were often wrapped up in each other, sleeping. They each had space for clothes in each others' dorms and would typically get ready wherever they woke up.
Brielle rushed out of the bathroom, her hair wet and dripping as she nearly slipped on the tile from the water. "Brielle Beast!" Evie scolded the girl as she knew better than to run around the tile soaking wet. Bri froze and turned to her lovers who stared at her unimpressed. She smiled sheepishly as she walked back into the bathroom slowly and carefully. When she reemerged, she was dry, except for her hair which was now wrapped in a towel.
"You know better," Jay's voice scolded as he stepped towards the girl and pushed her towards her vanity.
"I'm sorry, I was just-" Brielle tried to excuse herself.
"But nothing Bri. You know better. You could get hurt," Carlos scolded her. She nodded with a pout as they all moved around the room, taking turns to choose their outfits for the day while taking turns showering. Brielle had taken them shopping some days ago and Evie also spoiled them a bit, using the money she had made from selling clothes. Their clothes were a bit more preppy in some aspects but still held their preferences.
As Jay brushed, dried, and oiled Brielle's hair, Evie and Carlos took out clothing for each of them and Mal showered. Jay switched with Evie and changed a few things about the outfit they had chosen for him while Evie styled Brielle's hair. Mal and Carlos switched as Mal came out and began getting ready, approving of the clothing they had chosen for her. When Evie was done, Brielle switched with Mal who was dressed, and began getting ready. Evie began taking care of Mal's hair while Brielle dressed.
Carlos and Jay switched quickly as Evie moved to finish Mal's hair. Evie was often the last one ready since she typically chose their outfits and helped them with their hair. Sometimes Bri would help style their hair and Carlos would help with their clothes. Mal often helped each of them with whatever makeup they wanted. Jay would mostly make sure they would have everything they needed for the day before they left. He even had a checklist for each of them based on what their schedules looked like for the day.
As Evie and Jay switched, Brielle helped Carlos with his hair and Mal was finishing her makeup. When Bri finished brushing out Carlos' shoulder-length hair and helping him style the wolf cut he had gotten a while ago, Mal helped her put on a bit of eyeliner, lipgloss, and blush. Jay got dressed quickly as Evie finished showering. Mal and Brielle helped Jay with his hair, each girl taking half as the boy's hair had grown a bit since he had arrived. When Evie finished dressing, the three girls worked together on her hair and makeup quickly.
Mal gave Carlos a bit of blush over his cheeks and a bit on his forehead making him look adorable and helped Jay with his eyeliner before throwing on some necklaces and rings. When Evie stood up in her white heels, she made them line up as usual to check over their outfits. This was how the mornings typically went. They would get up, get ready, helping each other while getting ready, and then Evie would line them up and check them over before Jay made sure they had everything they needed.
Brielle was always the first in line and she stood in a knee-length pale blue dress with gold accents around the fabric. Evie had designed it for her for Family Day as well as Ben's suit. The dress had a dark blue bodice that was embellished with gold floral beading that trailed down to the skirt, which faded from dark blue to light blue as the gold beading spread out more on the bottom. The dress was paired with white heels with gold leaves on the back of the shoes and gold jewelry. A dainty necklace on the girl's neck, highlighting the sweetheart neckline and a gold crown that resembled a flower crown was placed on top of the girl's now curled hair that was allowed to flower down her waist.
Evie nodded causing her small gold hoops to shake as she moved on to Carlos. Carlos wore a dark blue button-up that was tucked into some black slacks. A white belt was wrapped around his belt and a black watch wrapped itself around his wrist. He wore some black boots that were mostly covered by the pants making them look a bit like loafers. The boy wore minimal jewelry, with a simple chain wrapped around his neck, the necklace being the one Jay had given them.
She moved on after telling him to go put on the pair of cross earrings she had bought him. Jay stood with his hands in the dark red slacks they had pulled out for him. The pants were a bit baggy on him since he preferred it that way. A black t-shirt tucked into the pants, covered by a dark blue leather jacket. The jacket was so dark it could mistaken for black. He wore some white sneakers on his feet and he had some basic studs in. His necklace wrapped around his neck where the half of his hair that was left down brushed.
"Mal," Evie scolded as she moved on to the girl and realized she had changed her hair last minute. Evie had straightened the girl's hair and the dark brown locks were left down to brush the shoulders of the girl's dark purple turtleneck since she had cut it a while back. Now the girl's hair was pulled into a low ponytail, revealing the girl's piercings. Mal shrugged as she slipped her hands into the dark blue cargo jeans that covered her purple combat boots. A chain belt wrapped around her waist and her necklaces layered on her chest. No bracelets wrapped around the girl's wrist that were covered by the long sleeves of the top but her hands had three rings on each.
Evie sighed and waved the girl off before checking herself over again. She wore a simple bell-sleeved top and a white maxi skirt. The ends of the pale blue sleeves were embroidered with gold leafy beading and slightly covered the bracelets on her wrist. The long skirt lifted slightly in the front revealing the pair of open-toed heels and slightly displayed her tattoo. Her hand brushed her necklace before turning to the others.
When she had finished with each one, Jay began double-checking that they had everything they needed for the day. Checking off each item on his list as he gathered anything they had forgotten. He handed Evie her light blue shoulder bag, mumbling about how he had Brielle check through it while she finished up with Carlos and Mal. Bri carried a little white bag containing both her and Mal's things for the day since Mal preferred not to carry a bag and usually ended up holding Brielle's bag. Carlos had a brown messenger bag that held most of their stuff that wouldn't fit in the girls' smaller bags.
"Are we ready?" Mal asked to make sure. Everyone nodded and they left to go eat before joining the festivities.
